Do you have a swimming pool at your home?

Is it above ground or an in ground pool? Is it difficult to maintain or easy? Want to know should I get a bigger house with a pool. :-)

Swimming pool - swimming pool garden
yes well it is just about complete,we had one in our other home but we sold and built just a couple of doors down the street.Where we live around 90%of the homes have an in ground pool as we live in the sub tropics and it is used about 9or 10 months a year.It is funny though when we have friends or rellies from down south stay and it is too cold for us to swim they still consider it hot and swim. As far as the cleaning goes we have salt pools and they are easy to maintain most of our trees are palms and we have an automatic cleaning system on timer. The chemicals we take a water sample to a company the builds pools and sells chemicals as a sideline mainly for customers who had pools built they are better as they dont make there money only from the chemicals they sell so dont need to sell you more than you need and mess up your water to sell you more. I love my pool and swim at least twice a day mostly far more often due to the heat and humidity

It sounds like you will have a very nice pool to swim in and hope you and your husband enjoy it very much. Swimming is fun and relaxing and nice to have during the hot and sunny summer months.

We had a pool at our old house and it was a real hassle to look after, and then it barely got used as it was usually too cold. Probably okay if you get someone ion to look after it , but it was a bit of a pain dealing with the chemicals etc and scooping out all the leaves. If you do get one try not to have shedding trees around it.

My parents had the same problem with their pool with leaves getting in there and not being used enough. They got rid of it eventually.

We used to have a above ground swimming pool but it was so old, and dirty so I didnt like it. I told my hubby to take it down last year. Now that pool is gone, I do miss it. I want in ground pool build but than I have to worry about snakes where I live so I havent decided yet. If you have the right things to clean the pool, you dont have to worry about cleaning that much.

that is good that keeping the pool clean is not too hard. My parents had an above ground pool and it was nice but we did not use it that much. I sure would love to have a pool again when I get a bigger house.

We have a 24' round above ground pool. It's not too bad to maintain as long as you do it consistently. We had no problems with it til I spent a week in the hospital and no one else took care of it. It was green when I got home and it seemed to take forever to get it back to normal. If you have time everyday to check the chemicals and keep them good, you won't have to do too much cleaning. I would definitely recommend getting one, we spend all our time there in the summer.

No, unfortunately, we don't have a pool. We bought our house a year ago and opted to put in a fireplace and a bigger deck instead. It would have been nice to have had a pool over this past summer, but it wasn't too hot so we survived without one.
