It was a bad idea for me. I use layaway for Christmas with so many to buy for. It was a way I could start early. So I will just find another store that still has layaway and let them get my money instead of Walmart.

Personally I wish they wouldn't. I don't use credit cards for the safety of my finances! Not only that but I have nosey kids that I don't want breaking out presents till Christmas. So I wish they would keep it

The walmarts in my area are nice to there staff. I hate the fact that they are doing away with lawaways. That was how I did most of my shopping for x-mas. It was so much easier just to put everything on layaway and make monthly payments. So fars as the person who said no need for layaway now that we have credit cards Not everyone has credit cards and why pay intrest on credit cards when you are pretty much doing the same thing when you use layaway and you are not paying double for it.

walmart is a good place to go to because most of the people in the high-tech places can be rude and only want your money so they make you buy the most expensive and most cra ppy peice of equiptment.

Why would someone put something on layway in WalMart? We have credit cards now.

I don't have a credit card, they are more expensive than money. I use layaway for most things, it is only a couple dollars more. Otherwise I save up for something expensive that I want.

I dont like the idea of it either. I like to use the layaway system for birthdays and christmas. I dont have a credit card so that option is out for me. I have a big family and this will make it harder for me because if I have to wait until I have the money for what I want it may not be there when I have it. I also think their profits will be down because layaway was used by lots of people that couldnt afford to get things right away.

I think it is a really bad idea for them, because a lot of people use the layaways and it seems like they would lose a lot of money that way.

I don't really mind either way. We don't use Layaway and we never have.. Not even sure how it works. :) But I do know a lot of people will be affected.

I think it's too bad for those people that uses it. I never had a chance to use it, though. So, I can't say from experience how it feels.

They may end up losing some of their customers especially around Christmas time. Not everyone has credit cards and they can't afford to pay out right for their items. The lay-a-way was a great thing to utilize for those ppl. When my boys were little, I had to use that a time or two and it sure did help me out.

I seen something about that in Walmart the other day. I wasnt sure what it meant..but I didnt think it was going to be for good. I think its a bad idea. Some people need to pay things out. And I think in the long run they will lose money.
