Hi friends, recently I saw a discussion in a forum related with exchanging money from Alert pay account to paypal account.A person is willing to pay $15 in alert pay for exchange of $10 to his paypal account. He was willing to transfer the money first too.I did responded to him since I need some funds in my alert pay account, now I am waiting for his reply.Do you think I should trust this stranger?

What makes you think that you can trust a stranger? Don't be mad, but you are nuts if you do it!! No way!! Run, run, RUN!!

HI brisk! You should at least be careful because you don't know this person! But reading through your post, the person said that he will transfer the money first, I guess wait till you see it in your account. But as for me, I don't think I will do trust someone that I don't know! Just be careful friend.

Well, it's really hard to say whether he's trustful or not. But for myself, I won't trust a stranger, especially it's related to money issue. You really gotta judge it by yourself, and evaluate if you have any loss if he cheats you. Good luck to you!

I absolutely agree with you.He says, he will transfer the money first to alert pay account then I can also transfer it to his paypal account once payment has been received.Do you think it is safe?I have never exchange money before with anybody so far when it comes to alert pay and paypal.Hope it works for me since I really need some funds in my alert pay account.

I'd be careful.
I have no experience with Alert Pay, but I do know PayPal pretty well, and it is one thing for a payment to be pending, and one thing for the payment to have been transferred successfully.
I would let him initiate the contact first, and tell him to send the money first, and I would WAIT for the money to clear and be put in to your account successfully (and if you can put Alert Pay money in your bank account, do that with his).
Only then would I send the $10 in PayPal funds to him.
I understand why the 'stranger' might want to do this - maybe AlertPay or PayPal isn't accepted in what he wants do to, etc.
Just be careful, brisk.

Ideally you should have tried to find out more about this person. If he has nothing to hide then he would be prepared to expose more of himself. A check can be made through the Internet. In the past there have been people who lost money in this sort of transfer. Seeing that he offered to transfer the money first does not necessarily mean he is honest. A $5 advantage is so enticing and this was the main aim, a bait so he can collect your PayPal email address. I am not accusing him anything. It is just a possible scenario.
