Jay Mascis(dinosaur jr.) is the greatest guitarist ever. Kicks everyone else's butts. I think that Lee Renaldo(sonic youth) might be my favorite though just because he has always continued to be rather innovative and transcends style and technique while simultaneously rewriting the rock genre.
