My big fluffy one makes me look like the woman who puts her hair up in curlers lol Its soft and very thick and warm but makes me look funny! lol Sorta like an old ladys robe lol you know like Eloise, or the gossipy lady that is always leaning over the fence lol does your robe make you look funny?

I have three robes too and they all serve a very distinct purpose. I have a big cozy terry cloth one that is used when it is cold weather.... it is ready to be retired and replaced by a fancy chennelle one.
I have a beige, comfy cotton one for wearing around the bathroom as I get ready for the day. It is the perfect thinness that I can blow dry my hair or run around like a chicken with my head cut off and not get too hot.
My last one is a classic pinstriped men's oversized robe. It is cotton and thin too and I like to wear it with nothing at all under it when I feel like lounging around the house.
I have a few others that stay tucked away and are only used when I visit other people's houses. I have a silky one that my hubby just loves and it only gets brought out when he remembers it, heehee.

I think the reason I dislike robes is because I have never owned one where the sleeves came to my hands. Most come to just above my wrist and that always bigged me for some reason. My wife has 2 big fuzzy ones she loves. Yes her sleeves are short as well. Are they all like this or not?

Ahh, poor G. Bob. I have a friend that sews these types things for a living. Send me your measurements and I have her make you a big fluffy robe for a Christmas present.
Be sure to let me know what stocking cap you would like the robe to match.

I can't tell you the last time I wore a robe. I do have one, it is maroon in color and real soft velvety feeling, long and has a zipper that zips down to around the knees. My mother always loved to wear what she called "dusters". There were made of cotton and had pockets and usually had snaps up the front.

No, I don't have a favorite robe. All I own is one. I can't afford to own more than when I have a husband and kids I need to keep in them as well. Espically the kids as much as they are growing taller every day. I don't look funny in my robe. I look gorgous. Not really that great. But I sure won't wear anything that makes me look funny or stupid.

I am not a big fan of robes.
But I do have twop robes that I wear ever so often.
OIne is a black one that I've had for years.
The second one has a funny story attatched.
I got one from a local casino when I stayed at their Hotel.
It was a really nice robe as well from what I saw.
So I requested another one for wearing on my way to the pool there.
Anyhow I packed the one into my suitcase.
Well when I got home I took it out.
It had a huge hole in the armpit.
I really wanted to call and complain about the casinos hotel robes but.....

I don't own any robes at all - I've never really liked the idea of wearing one.

I've got 3. A fuzzy warm one for the winter, and when i sit in the air conditioning. A light weight one for the summer. And an old light weight one that i never wear any more. I only wear them for lounging around and being comfy, not to dry myself off. My favorite on has got to be my fuzzy winter one! I wear it all the time when i'm cold, and i never wanna take it off! I'll even sleep in the robe sometimes!

I have several robes, but I have two favorites. One is my favorite to wear after a shower, and it is basically a white, very classic terry cloth one. It always makes me feel like I am staying at a hotel, ha ha! The other one is a black, silky and very luxurious one. I like to wear that one during the weekends to feel a bit glamorous.

I only have one robe, and I think my robe looks like the same one you described -- very soft and fluffy, great for autumn and winter. I don't wear it very often though because I prefer to wear casual clothing at home. Whenever I wear the robe, I feel like a slacker or like a lazy person who just lounges around the house
I do want to get another robe more suited for warmer temps, though. Maybe in that one, I wouldn't feel so slothful.
