How do you potty train a 2 year old boy?

I have started babysitting my nephew and I am trying to potty train him but at times it seems hopeless. I potty trained my little girl within a week in a half. SO i don't know what other things I can teach my nephew faster. What are your techniques on teaching boys on going to the bathroom?

There s a book by Mercer Mayer for potty training. he is a great little kids author. and the book is really cute. There are also videos at the library that show little kids about potty training.
I suggest that off with the disposable diapers and no pull ups. they keep the wetness away from the body so no discomfort. Take him after a drink and after meals when ever your daughter has to go and when you or any one else goes and let him look that the book when he is on the potty and only when he is on the potty. I had my 2 boys potty trained by age 2 with little trouble.

I love the Mercer Mayer books. This one is called "The new Potty" Mercer Mayer has about 110 books about different experiences of small children. His main character is little critter. You can check out his web page at http://www.littlecritter.com/ You can get used books at amazon.

In my experience, I think 2 is still a little too young. Is he even showing signs of readiness? Does he at least want to sit on the potty? Our son just completed potty training at almost 3 1/2 years old. I've heard that it takes boys longer. You can't rush him or he'll just regress even more. Make it a game with him. Maybe he can sit on the potty and sing ABC's to get comfortable with going on the potty. Even if he just sits and doesn't do anything, at least it's a start.
