Julia,
I think you made her MORE than happy. you did real good and she truly appreciated the gift you sent her. When I first got married and was stationed at my first duty station, I would make lasagna for all the folks at work and all, and they would LOVE it; When I got changed to another base, I made some for some of the folks who truly appreciated it and my ex said they liked it. So yes, it does make for a great gift.

I'm very much sure, your friend loved your gift... It's not just an ordinary gift but a special gift which you really have made and had given time to prepare... You surely had made your friend very very happy. You are the kind of friend anyone would love to treasure... :)

That's a really sweet thing to do for your friend. I often think that handmade presents show a lot more thought than something that's just been picked up in a shop. You obviously put effort and thought into making her a lasagne, and I'm sure she would have appreciated that.

Lasagna is an excellent gift if your friend likes lasagna. I love lasagna to. Every year when we have my birthday dinner we make a couple pans of lasagna to feed everyone. Its my special birthday treat every year!

I think you did make her happy since she likes lasagna. I have given food as a gift as well. They seemed to like it very much. Absolutely nothing wrong with giving food as a gift. Usually during Christmas I make food baskets, like different kinds of cookies and chocolate covered pretzels, everything that I bake and give them out as gifts, they seem to love it.

I think she liked it. It's not always about material gifts but things made from the heart. When funds are tight for material gifts a nice meal is always a good substitute.

I think it was a lovely idea and an unusual gift! But the fact that you have thought about your friend and actually made something special is a really nice thought. I would eat it even if I did not really like it simply because someone had taken the time and effort to make me something so nice.

I think that would be a very good present! And I'm sure that your friend would have been very happy to receive it. It's also really nice that it's a gift that everybody at the party can join in with. I'm sure that all the guests appreciated it, and that's also a bonus for your friend whose party it was, because your food probably made the party even nicer for all her friends and made them all happy. Any host would like that a lot!

Hi there julia_cordk, welcome to mylot.
I think you made your friend very happy not just because lasagna is her favorite but because you made the effort of cooking her favorite pasta. This gift is an ordinary gift that you can buy anywhere, it is only you and you alone can make it. Yes everybody knows lasagna, your lasagna is different from that because you cooked that with love to give to your friend, and that make that lasagna especial. Hope my friends do the same on my birthday. Happy mylotting.
