last minute preparation does some good from the students point of view. it is because you remember what you studied for some days. but since it is not exactly registered in your mind ,you tend to forget it. when you start preparing a month before, you'll remember it even after many years. so better prepare for the exams beforehand.

When I was going to school, I studied some prior to exams, however I found cramming the night before and last minute reviews to be my best tool. Some people can't do this though. They need to study and memorize matierial well in advance of the exam. Everyone learns differently and therefore they study differently. As for being a good habit...cramming only at the last minute probably isn't a good idea. But then again, it depends on the individual. How do you study?

I used to learn at last minute.. It always come handy to me.I score good marks wit little preparation. But not all have this ability and its not a very good habit too.It all depends on the individuals mental perspective and how quick they adapt to new things.

Yes,I like reading at peak exam time. Its very thrilling to read and omit in exam directly. Some will be reading day and night for scoring good, but its not great to months together and produce in exam.Every kid can do it.Then whats better for calling him as teen ,adult. The thing which matters is how much your mind is developed from kid age and show your stuff, talent, mettle in peak time.Thats why you get craze and respect from everyone.

Last minute studies does help in a certain way when you already have a core knowledge to build upon...it certainly does not help if you have no knowledge about the subject and would want to depend of the last hour struggle to pull through. There is another part about last minute study...do you think that the knowledge that you gained in that final hour will stay in your brain after the exams or will it be thrown out almost immediately after leaving the examination hall?

I think it really depends on the study habits of a person and whether the person can cope with last minute studies. For example, people like me tend to be very last minute in terms of studying, and it tends to suit me quite well I think. I feel that last minute studying helps me to retain more information that I can instead of studying consistently like what most people would advise to do. I remember there was once I did try to study early and consistently throughout my semester, but towards exam time, I found out what I had studied consistently over the past few months have been forgotten; so I concluded that studying last minute suited me more and that I shouldn't waste my efforts studying early if it doesn't really help me at all. In addition, I remember during college, I did one of my projects so last minute that I had to burn the midnight oil the day before the due date, but miraculously I scored the highest in class for that project! So we can't say studying or doing something last minute is not good.
But don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to advise people to follow in my footsteps, because what might work for some might not work for others. The most important advise that I can give to everyone is, try different studying methods that people have tried, identify which is the most suitable for you (in terms of information retaining), and adopt that method.

Hi, I dont really encourage the last minute studying.. It puts you into stress.. It is always better to plan ahead, learn on a daily basis. You should keep the day before exams, just to take up practice tests and recap important questions..This way you tend to go to bed on time and you will be able to score high..All the best!!
