Windows XP Vs Windows Vista!!!!!

Earlier I used to like Windows XP and was reluctant to upgrade to Vista. But after seeing on my friend's computer, I recently upgraded to Windows Vista and I must say that its not at all bad as everyone says. Its better than XP in all aspects (provided you have the required hardware). Till now I have not faced any problems in Vista and I am simply loving it.

I like Linux. I like fedora,now I'm waiting for fedora 10.

I use Windows XP. I know nothing about Vista other than it seems rather difficult to use according to someone who recently mentioned this to me. Is there a big difference in the way the system operates?

This is a pretty good discussion and I am sure there are a lot of people out there who have used either Windows XP or Windows Vista ,or just one of the two,and I am sure there are people who prefer Windows XP as their operating system for one reason or another,and then I am sure there are people out there who prefer Windows Vista as their operating system for one reason or another,and then there are probably people who do not have a favorite between the two,and would use either and just picked on as their operating system,and I can understand why people would feel the way they feel when it comes to the operating systems,and that is cool that you like Windows XP as your operating system,my parents have had a computer for many many years and we started out with Windows 95,and then Windows 98 I believe and the Windows 2000 and for the past while we have had Windows XP on the desktop and we are very happy with it,me and my fiance bought a laptop from an ex friend a long while back and it also has Windows XP on it,and we definitely like Windows XP and I have never used Windows Vista so I can not really judge it but I have heard good and bad things about it,like one of my ex friends said it is not worth it,and that it causes nothing but trouble,but me and my fiance do not listen to him since he likes to lie so we do not know if he was being honest or not,but we definitely prefer Windows XP and I do not think we would ever switch to Windows Vista,because Windows XP is the best in my opinion,and I am not sure how my fiance feels on the matter,but I think she likes Windows XP just as much as I do.

I am using both OS now and I find that the 2 microsoft OS offers their strengths over the other's weakness...In general, when it comes to using my com for work...I always go for XP for its reliability and compatability with most of the 3rd party softwares that I have used. However, when it comes to gadgets and multimedia use...I personally find that Vista has a lot more to offer than XP...

I'm still using Windows XP cause i think Window Vista slows down my computer.

I switched back to XP because there were several things I didn't like about Vista. First it's too slow, and a lot of my software and my printer wouldn't work with it. That was a year ago, I hope it's better now because the next time I get a new computer I'm going to want to try to use it and just get used to it.
