The obvious question that springs to mind is: WHY?
I use Internet Explorer when I am using Windows and Firefox when I use Linux. I can understand someone using a couple of browsers for different sites, but 6 is a little overboard and seems rather pointless.

Maybe he designs websites so he needs to ensure that it works in every browser, but Safari, Chrome and Arora (which i heard of for the first time) use the same engine.

If you use 6 browser with a few pages you will use a lot more ram than if you open a lot of windows with lots of tabs in just one browser.

Yea, that's why I still keep IE since it is useful for some obstinate sites.

Hi thecrazyjogger,
I have 3 browsers installed on my machine - the default IE and Firefox and Chrome.
I use Chrome mostly nowadays if I want a quick in quick out approach. Otherwise if I am here to stay long and surfing is the only thing I am doing (such as now on myLot), I use Firefox.

I usually only use 2. IE and Firefox. But we have several others installed too. Among them, safari and Sea monkey. Haven't really tested the water with those yet.

Well, I actually am only using Internet Explorer. I have never tried any of the other ones out there either, and not sure how to even go about downloading, etc. to consider trying any of them out either. I keep on hearing good things about Firefox though.

Wow thecrazyjogger! You have so many browsers in your computer. I wonder why you use such a number of them. I have two browsers in my desktop as well as in my laptop. Normally I would use the Firefox all the time as I am quite familiar to its feature and function and won’t feel handicapped like sometimes I have to use my friends’ computer in when having gathering in their houses once in a while.
I would still use the Internet Explorer as my browser if the former one having certain updating and couldn’t function temporarily. It’s nice to have more than one browser so that we still could surf net if any of them stops function for temporary being. I used a single browser only when I surfed net initially in those earlier days and it was really irritating when came across such problem and couldn’t do anything online.
posting and have a nice day.

I only use Firefox and I have Internet Explorer only for work-related stuff. I don't think you need more than those, and that's actually weird that you have so many browsers haha do you use something for a special purpose?
Thanks for commenting in my discussion!

Well, I obviously used IE when I first got a computer. Than I switched to FireFox when I heard about it and there was a time when I used FireFox and Opera but since I couldn't really notice a difference between the two I stop using Opera and have been continuing to use FireFox.
Yeah, you could say that its my favorite browser. I liked Opera to, but why bother with using two browsers if the one I am already using works well. Ok, there are problems with it sometimes but nothing that would stop me from using it.
But I do have to mentione that I don't really like FireFox 3.x..... There are simply a few things that I don't like about it so I am still sticking to FireFox 2.0.0.8 or whatever the version is I am using right now.
