In my surfing I came across something very very disturbing. It was quite literally a 'rooster fight' (C-word violates terms of use) only it was not birds fighting, but two male toddlers.
*
The father of one of the boys, who was according to the story a Fort Bragg solder, was egging on a fight between two toddlers. When a slightly older brother, maybe six, tried to break up the fight, he was picked up and set aside so the fight could continue. The fight was only stopped when one of the toddlers started bleeding.

This is very disturbing. He is supposed to be jailed because of this. Parents should protect their children and discipline them appropriately. Encouraging fighting even for big kids is not correct.

As the older kid knew. It was like the Dad was maturationally challenged.

I saw this story on Good Morning America this morning. It's really disturbing to see a parent encourage his 2-year-old kids to fight with each other. There is one kid hitting the other and the other one is just crying and letting his brother hit him. It's really sad. I shudder to think of the emotional and psychological trauma that this guy is inflicting on his kids. Thank God child services is investigating this. I hope he loses custody of those kids as he and his wife are divorced.

I wonder why the wife/mother doesn't have custody. Even after this fiasco, the kids were handed to a relative and not the mother.

I found the video on Youtube though it's in spanish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyrbO6d-gvU
It is really sick that any parent would teach their children to do this or would stand by while it's happening...I'd say all the parents present need to be charged with child abuse, child neglect or something along those lines.

Yes, it's really bad, considering the school shootings and bullying problems...

I saw that. Thats pretty sick. One of the strangest things is that the guy encouraging the fight was the father of only one of the boys. So was he watching his own child get the sh** beat out of him, or was he watching his own child be so violent on another child? Either way is horrible parenting. And I feel bad for the older boy who tried to rescue his little brother and was pulled out of the way instead. I hope the father gets in trouble over this!

Yeah i saw that in youtube. I must say that the father is nuts. On top of this, some people in youtube left comments that it's not a big deal. Those people are beyond nuts. I am so happy that the children have been taken by the authorities. The world is just screwed up right now. We would see all kinds of weird and morally wrong things. Some parents would teach their children how to hunt and it's even more disturbing to know that in some countries toddlers are paid for stuff they should not do at their age. "stolen innocence - cambodia" that's the video. I hope parents and people from the next generation could make of this world a better place to live. Of course, children aren't safe in any places because violence is everywhere. But as parents, they should give guidance and not make this any worse.

I personally think that children should come with a license, like cars do! You have to have a license to drive but any idiot can be a parent.

I am sickened by reading this. what is it teaching the toddlers? They should be in the process of learning NOT to fight instead of being encouraged to fight. Then to read that the fight only stopped because one of them was bleeding? The father is an animal and should not have his child in his care. He should lose all rights to being called a father. Disgusting.

Agreed. The older brother tried to break it up but was picked up and set aside.

Apparently Mom didn't have custody, and the kids were given to a relative. I wonder how the military will react to this.

It was clear he wasn't thinking with the head on his shoulders. He was probably thinking that no one would know who he was or who the kids were.
