It all depends on what you mean by the best cereal. There a lot of good tasting cereals and most of them are loaded with sugar. Then there are all those so called healthy cereals and they still are loaded with sugar. Some cereals are healthier for you than others are. I like good old oatmeal for a good healthy cereal. Not the kine that you put hot water in and then eat. Those old fashioned oat that take a while to prepare. Then there is that nice nutty tasting brown rice. It's not only good for you it's good. For a cold cereal I like Kasha and flax seed cereal. When I have cereal I have those good cooked grain cereals.

Great question. In general, cereals with the highest percentage of fibre will keep you feeling full longer. You should look for cereals that contain at least 20 per cent of the daily fibre requirement. Cereals with high fibre contain less sugar than other cereals. Including fibre is more important than excluding sugar. So if you find a cereal you like with lots of fibre and it has also got sugar - eat up. The fibre will keep you full and help prevent lots of other diseases as well. There are cereals that provide up to 50 per cent of the recommended daily dose of fibre.
One word of caution, if you eat a diet that is relatively low in fibre - and that is pretty common, especially among those of us who don't eat a lot of fruit and vegetables increase the amount of fibre in your diet slowly. If you get gassy after eating a high-fibre cereal, this usually means that you've increased your fibre too fast. Cut the high-fibre cereal with a lower fibre cereal for the first couple of weeks and then slowly increase the percentage of the high-fibre cereal until you can eat a whole bowl of the stuff without any complaints. It may take a week or two, but it's worth it.

This is a pretty good discussion and I am sure there are a lot of people out there who are big cereal lovers, and they like to eat cereal a lot whether it be for breakfast or any other meal, and I am sure there are people who like one certain cereal the most and that is the cereal that they always eat and they hardly ever eat any other kinds of cereal, and I am sure there are people out there who like multiple kinds of cereal, and they have trouble picking just one kind of cereal to eat and they end up having several different boxes of cereal in their cabinets and they either eat one cereal on a certain day,or they alternate between different cereals and then I am sure there are a lot of people out there who do not like cereal for one reason or another, and I am sure there are people who do not like breakfast and choose to not eat breakfast and prefer to wait and eat lunch and dinner and I can understand why people would think the way they do when it comes to cereal, and I agree cereal is a pretty great breakfast food, and the only thing that is a better breakfast food is eggs and toast, and when I was a kid I used to always eat cereal for breakfast before I went to school so I used to try all kinds of different cereals to keep from getting bored of it,and I tried Lucky Charms which were pretty good,Trix which were okay,Peanut Butter Captain Crunch which was awesome,Honey Nut Cheerios which were good,Fruit Loops which were fruity and good and Frosted Flakes, but I still ended up getting tired of cereal and I did not eat it for the longest time, but now that I have been out of school for four years I have started eating cereal again and me and my fiance will eat cereal for breakfast or anytime we get in the mood for it,and I would say the best kind of cereal is a tie between Fruit Loops, and Frosted Flakes because they are both my favorites, and my fiance likes both of those, and she also likes Raisin Brand.
