To my amazement we are down to $1.91 a gallon here in WI! It's nice to see something go down. Too bad other things continue to increase & the lack of good raises to compensate for the increase in prices.

I live in Gaylord, Michigan and it's 1.99 a gallon here. Luckily me and my girlfriend have a Chevy Aveo and it only costs like twenty dollars max to fill up a tank.

Well I'm in PA and I just heard on the news that we were the only state left in the two dollars. The cheapest I have seen it in the past couple days was 2.17 most places are at 2.19 and have been for the past 3 days. I can't wait to get to FL - My mom was saying its $1.97 there!!!

Here in the Northeast our gas is about $2.05 a gallon. It's a great feeling to see the prices dropping. I heard that it's not going to last though. I guess we better enjoy it while we can.

It is a law of economics that when there is recession, everything goes down. inflation heads down, real estate heads down and becoems cheaper, interest rates decline, money supply goes down, production goes down, number of factories declines availability of goods goes down, the stock market crashes, wages decline. When everything goes down, suddenly there is a change one day and then everything reverses gears and starts to go up. while things are declining enjoy.

If we could keep the wages on the upside & everything else on the decline especially say things like oh... the utility bill and groceries as well as interest rates (for loans, not investment) life would be grand ;)

In the Southern part of Ohio it is $1.89. In Dayton Ohio it is $1.75. Good thing the gas price is down because we have had two big plants belly-up in this area in the past 6 months. Somewhere around 500 people have lost their jobs.

I'm afraid the layoff's and plant closures are everywhere these days. I know it's nice the gas is comming down but sometimes that just not enough. They are looking @ closing a GM plant at the end of Dec a ways from here. I can't imagine after making such excellent $ @ GM and then having to settle for a job that pays $10/hr if they are lucky. Sad.

I haven't been out much lately, probably in about a week to check what gas is lately. The one gas station near me is charging $2.28 for gas but I know that the Sheetz around us usually charge a bit less than they do for gas so it's hard to tell how much gas is right now until I make a trip out tomorrow.

I think you should really enjoy those prices, my friends! I live in B.C., Canada, on the west coast....I just filled up yesterday (OUCH) and our fuel is $1.099 per litre...it takes 4.546 litres to a Canadian gallon, therefore our fuel is $4.996 per gallon...Your gallon in the U.S. is 3.786 litres so that works out to $4.16 a US gallon! Our fuel is MORE than double the price of yours! Furthermore our dollar just took a horrible kick in the pants yesterday...down to $0.7983, so that's a double OUCH! I got so fed up with fuel prices...at the peak, we were $1.56 a litre or $7.09 a gallon, I bit the bullet, and bought an "E-bike"...and on one charge it does 100 kilometres...or 60 miles, and costs about 25-30 cents a charge!
