Well, my pain was at a 1 or 2 on the pain scale, and yet, I LOVE my daughter with every inch of my being! I wouldn't trade the little heathen for the world! LOL.

ohh- that sounds sooo cool! They don't offer that at any hospital that I am aware of around my area and I cannot afford to pick and choose where I go. I would definately be interested in doing that.

I wanted the epidural with my first one, but by the time I got to the hospital I was dialated too much to have one. With my second son, I made sure to get to the hospital in time for them to administer it for me LOL. Wasn't making that mistake again! The first one was somewhat painful, but not the second one lol.

I had mine naturally and I'm so glad I did. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and of course each person has their own pain threshold. I was very determined to go all natural as long as everything went smoothly and it did.

For my first, I went natural as long as I could but finally had an epidural. Actually, I had 2 of them because they finally just did a c-section. For my other 2, I also had c-sections so I didn't have much choice in the matter.

Unfortunately I did not have the support I needed to labor naturally, and gave in to an epidural. One reason being, they were making me lie down in the hospital bed, when I was having back labor. I would have labored better if they would have let me stay standing and rocking my hips.

All naturaly baby :) I'm so glad I went this way, because now I don't know what it's like to have pain medicine. I only have one, but we are trying for another & I am going all natural again. It wasn't as bad as I imagined it too be. Although, if I would have really long labors, I would prob' reconsider. It took me me 2 1/2 hours from the start of the first contraction to delivery. So, I was lucky.

When I first got pregnant I thought I would go all natural. However, I had a lot of health problems during my pregnancy, including severe anemia and seizures that we never really got a good explanation for. By time to have my son, I was just ready to have him in any way I could. I was supposed to go in to have labor induced because he was already late, and the decline in my own health was becoming an issue. The night before my water broke, and I went in, but they still had to give me something to get me to dilate at all. The pain was very bad, and I had a rather bad seizure during labor. That was when I decided to have an epidural, because the pain just continued to get worse after the seizure, to the point where I would sometimes not be sure where I was. I wanted to be able to experience the labor, not be in so much pain I was delirious. So I had one epidural. Then they decided my baby was stuck, and I wound up having to have another epidural and a C-section anyway. So, my labor didn't go anywhere near as planned. But it was perfect, because at the end of it there was this adorable and wonderful little creature put in my arms. So it's all okay.

I've had 3 kids... all natural... I was lucky tho.. all my deliveries were really fast.. in fact my 3rd was almost born in the back of an ambulance and actually born in the emergancy room because the doctor didn't want to deliver her in the elevator on the way to the birthing room... i've heard some scary stories about 24 hour labours and thank my lucky stars that my children never did that to me...

I had the i.v. that makes you feel drunk and the epidural for both of my children. I regret the epidural. I have back problems now and i am only 24. Plus with my first it didn't work at all. With my second I had a hot spot on one side of my body so I felt everything with that side. If I have any more kids I might do the I.v. but I will NOT get an epidural again.

I took the epidural. I still felt a lot of discomfort, and honestly, I don't think I would have wanted to have felt anymore. I would definently take it again. It allowed me to focus a bit more on pushing and what not, so I think it made it easier. That said, the epidural was no piece of cake either, it was quite uncomfortable.

My first and third child I tried the epidural. Since it didn't work the first time, I didn't try it with the second child. But then they talked me into it on the third only for it not to work again but cause me a kidney infection instead that landed me with a two week hospital stay. After that, I always went natural. And once you realize I have had seven births...you now understand what a great accomplishment I feel!!!!!

I had a spinal with my daughter, but I didn't really have a choice, I had a c-section. I would LOVE to try a natural birth, but who knows. I didn't experience labor at all, because i had my daughter at 31 weeks by emerg. c-section. So i have absolutely no clue what a contraction even feels like!
