Do you get answers when posting serious discussions?

I think that's just how it goes here. Most people just want to answer questions which require little to no thought with a quick post, make their money, and move onto the next question. I don't think content is an issue with most people..

Well..this is a kind of serious discussion and you are getting a lot of responses :) Seriously though, I know exactly what you mean. We could do with a little more intellect out here, no offense to anyone. If people would think of this as fun first and money after, the whole attitude would change. Come one people, if you work with the attitude you have here, you wouldn't make much, let alone enjoy your job..this is work too, cos it pays, so give it better than you do now!!

That is a shame, really. I do get some good responses, but then someone who hasn't really read the question will come along with a 1-word answer. It's interesting. In the long run, I hope myLot will modify the rewards system to encourage better discussions. Only time will tell.

I don't either. It's a pity really isn't it? Perhaps things will change soon if we keep talking about this problem...

That seems to be a problem here... -_- I don't get any answers at all, usually. So I stick to replying to others' discussions. I only look at the serious ones though.

I get more responses to stupid discussions too. But I also want some intellectual conversation. Not just someone saying "Just wanted to say hi to all MyLot users"

I only post serious questions. I have only posted two to date. The first one no one responded to (which is too bad since I really would like to know where to get the item I asked about) The second one I just recently posted, and have one response thus far. While my experience is probably not a good sampling (being so few posts) I so far can say I get responses half the time.

It's an unfortunate thing, but I'm in the same boat as you. If the answer requires more than a couple of words, the topic is usually bypassed. Hopefully this will change over time.

I agree. I see so many silly questions being asked over and over and those are the ones that get the most responses. I guess it is because the silly ones are the fastest and easiest to answer, whereas a more serious topic would take more thought and time.

Same here. The thing about mylot is you never know which discussions will get responses

It's sad, but "what time is it" gets more responses than a serious question. Of course, the stupid questions also way outnumber the serious questions, so that makes it worse.
