When I mean old friends, I mean those friends you know during primary or elementary school time, not university or working friends. I still keep in touch with some of my friends who I've known since 20 years ago. The gap, though, is much wider now since our social circles are very different and we lead pretty different lifestyles.
But I do miss the good old times and I will make an effort to message them or call them up once in a while to see how they are going. After all, they are the few good and true friends who I am still willing to keep in touch with. To me, they are worth the efforts.
What about you? Do you still keep in touch with such old friends?

As you mentioned I also lead a very different lifestyle from my old friends. I still keep in touch with 3 or 4 of my friends from elementary school, and two or three from highschool. Unfortunately many of my friends changed and started getting involved in a differenly social circle than I did in higschool. Once college hit, so many people changed and got involved in partying heavily. I was not a partier, so I did not hang out with many of my former friends.
The people I keep in touch with now are friends that I stopped talking to for a couple of years, and recently began talking to them again. I miss the old days when things were much easier and basically care free.

i do try to keep in touch with them, but it's very difficult to do that when all our schedules doesn't match and as you said, we have different social circles and lifestyles.. Some of my friends went to abroad while others went to provinces..
I miss the times when we could just hang out and laugh our heads off for no apparent reason.. I guess that's the price of growing up.. :)

Hello,
I know that I have found some old High School friends from a site called myspace . There are a few from back in the day that I call and will chat with online in some way . I kinda was hurt by people i thought were my friends in school too , but you learn the hard way . I stayed friends with this one guy tho ;) He is really cool ! And well others there was my best friend who was off and on my friend . well she said she changed and we met later on in life and you know what she was the same .
I dont speak with anyone from grade school really Seems I was cursed with my friends moving away ! I would say i met my closest friends later on in life and the ones from school that mattered kept in touch in some form . It is hard losing people or having them drift aprat.

It's good to keep in touch you know, because the next thing you know, they might be someone who can help you or vice versa. But normally I don't care much about those hi bye friends.

I don't know their contact numbers and email addresses, so I really don't keep in touch with my old friends. I have always thought that the reason why they don't contact me so much anymore is because they just naturally forgot about me. But now hearing what life is really like in my native country for middle and high school students, I can see why they wouldn't keep in touch with me. Actually they can't, because they are too darn busy with their studies, while I'm sitting here in America, not studying as much, and just relaxing by myself or with my friends! lol By now, they should be in college, and I don't know how they are doing right now, maybe some of them are continuing with education just so they think they can get a better job in that country, which I think they'll be better off studying abroad. Who knows.. at least I hope they haven't forgotten about me after being overloaded with loads of studies, because I haven't.
I think it'd be nice if we can still meet somehow, get in touch with each other, because I do miss the times I had with my old friends.

I only keep in touch with a few of them, those that I am very close with when we are still innocent kids. With the help of Friendster and Facebook, I am connected to more and more of my primary schoolmates. I remember there is once an old friend who moved to another division after finish his studies in primary school called me up after 15 years, I was so surprised and happy! It is fantastic to catching up with each other after a long time.

I have many friends and I've kept some as my bestfriends. Well, I don't get to see them anymore especially now that I am just at home, taking care of my three-week old baby. One of my bestfriends who I've met in College has already migrated abroad and we don't get to keep in touch often. Good thing, there is yahoo messenger. Well, I keep in touch with most of my friends through the internet. Sometimes, I even get to talk to them online. Anyway, I miss hanging out with my close friends and spending time with them out for a movie or a meal. I hope that even if we are living far away from each other, we will still find some time to get together.

Firstly, congrats on your newborn baby. :D Maybe it'll be a bit difficult to go out that often now since you need to take care of the baby.

How I wish I can keep in touch to all of them but because some of them are so far to me, I no longer any news from them. However, some of my classmates before are living near in our place that is why I can still have communication with them. It feels so good that even if, it had been so many years since we graduated from elementary and high school, we can still see and talk with each other. In order for me to communicate with other classmates who is living quite far from me, I get their contact numbers and emails so I can send messages and from that we cannot forget each other.

I am still in touch with a few. The relationship is different since we have all gone our own ways and know so little about each other now. However, we do enjoy those special and fun memories that we share and then it feels for that time you are just as close again!

I had very few friends in school. But I am in touch with some of them. Two of them happened to come to my place as they had come to witness the university fest. Together we went to watch a movie too and had lunch.

Well i have no more contact of my old friends during primary school. I can only talk to them when we bump each other in unexpected place like grocery store or when we do some reunion party. They already had other priorities and other set of friends. My close friends now are my college friend, even we are parted because of work for mostly work abroad, we still keep in touch through the net and web cam. I think constant communication is the key to have a long lasting friendship.
