If you are new to mylot or the "make extra money" of mylot, please, please read the mylot discussion guidelines here: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx
Please do not ever post REFERRAL links here. I have been nice enough not to report discussions and only gave a warning. However, from now on, I will report without notice! So be careful with what you post please!

Yes, it is too late now. You cannot edit or delete posts after you have posted them. You will not be banned from myLot. I have never seen any been "banned" from mylot. Please read the guidelines now. All that will happen is the discussion will be reported and deleted. You will lose any money you earned from it. Also, when in doubt, do not post.

By referral links, are you talking about links to paying websites with you as the referrer? Your not referring to the links we post to verify the information we are sharing right? I don't mean to sound dumb but I just want to verify what your saying.

Yes, that is what I am talking about We are allowed to post any links that contribute to the discussion and fits the topic as long as it is not a referral link.
An example of a referral link would be like www .some- thing.co -/referral?=snam23
I made sure to put in space so it does not hyperlink it and I bolded it for you guys.

Definitely a good idea to continue specially when you see it from newbies. It is just frustrating to see discussions or response that has referral in it. It just mean one thing, that is, they are not reading the terms and guidelines here. I just encountered a few minutes ago and it is the members very first post where referral link is posted. I do report them too when I saw one without any notice at all.

I have to agree with you that it is very frustrating, especially when it is not from newbies as well. I was so frustrated that I had to start this discussion.
I have seen people with 100+ posts that STILL post referral links. It means that even after 100 posts, they have not read the guidelines. They should be glad mylot does not delete people's account for this.

I have noticed that some new mylotters are doing like this. Anyway, its really a good advice.

I have noticed a few new mylotters doing this lately and as soon as I have seen the link I have steered clear of their discussion not through spite but for the sole reason I know that my response would be worthless and mylot will soon delete their discussion and will probably take some of my earnings with them.
Glad you have said something about it...have heard of so many cases where users have lost earnings or have been barred from this site altogether. If your new here you really should try not to breach the rules.

Yes, I have learned the hard way not to post referral links by losing some posts and earnings. I think they will learn sooner or later. Or at least I hope so.
How about we try to get this in the mylot digest? I think it would be the best way to spread the word!
Please do not assume I am selfish! I do not care if my discussions are in the digest or not! In fact, I have had my discussions in there about four times now and am satisfied with that. I just think its a great way to spread the word. Tell me what you think.

It is a good idea afteral the amount of times i've gone to respond to something read further down and spotted a referral link and thought...oh no not again. It would save so much time and effort especially when time seems to run away from you when your here anyway. I will let people know.

that is what i don't get... if someone posts a referral link in a discussion why delete the whole discussion? Why not just the post with the referral link? It really doesn't make much sense to me.
