Do You Believe in God?

Do you believe in God? If you do why do you? What kind of God do you believe in? Do you believe in one God or do you allow for the chance that there may be many Gods? Is your God the only god or is it alright if I believe in a different God? Is it OK if I don't believe in God?

i believe in A god,i cannot explain him by any religion cause he is outside the limits of any religion, there is one supreme god who create us all cause "there must be something behind something"
i cant believe that there was nothing before the universe, there must be something which started the development of universe and that something must be god because "from nothing nothing can be created"
and i am not conserned about ur belief in god,its ur intrest to be in any religion or be without any religion or believe in supreme god and all
In my point of view all gods are all same but named in different names in different religions, one cat can be called "cat" in so many languages

The obvious question then is if "something must be behind something", what is behind the other something? It's not really an explanation at all, is it, you simply create another problem for yourself every time you go backwards. It's an infinite regress.

Or???
Suppose that the Universe the Cosmos has always existed and all matter and energy is in a state of constant flux and a constant volume. That means that all of the energy in the universe is a constant but that the matter and energy are always in motion in a constant balance and a constant state of change. Could this be true?
Many things can be true, but the truth can only be known by those that can prove what is true. Who can prove that anything is true?
An infinite universe with a finite amount of material and energy, and a whole lot of mass and energy.

twilight i mean tht something cannot be created frm nothing there must be something which was made to universe and there must be a power which made the ignition and plays through out the development

I am not an atheist. I am allergic to labels and find people far to complex to fit them into convenient categories. I do believe in a god but he is not the same god most people believe in. A creator, maybe but not a redeemer. I see no need for redemption.

hi!
so if you hate labels how are you going to categorize yourself as far as faith is concern. another thing is since you believe that God is your Creator what is his purpose of creating you and me? entirely why God is here for?

If you are meeting GOD face to face would you say that you don't believe in GOD? What if GOD is one of us, or as Gnosisquest has suggested what if GOD is really all of us? What if we are the mind, and heart of the creator and the creation?

I thank you and I try to be a good man, I seem to be having a little difficulty with family members on that issue, be that as it may...
In time they will learn as we all do...
I might suggest that we all practice our works and words as you say the ethics is where we find our GOD...
So again thank you and peace to us all along with accountability...

Ethics, Hum the laws of God verse the laws of man? I chose Gods laws anytime. He has one simple law, Love thy neighbor as thyself.

I answer you because you are a good man. There others that are not, but you were born ,as Kant said ,with the indefinite core that attract only the good side of the spritual world.
That is my answer. The only contact between man and God is ethics. The Jews made a big deal of it and they are right, maybe that's why they are a successful subrace that survived to more potent enemies. My answer is not a prize of the Jewish
whatever they invented or schemed, but ethics is what GOd is mainly made of.
Material world is subject to dialectic and even if you try to convince yourself we are all one we are still divided between evil and good.Read the Gnostic Philosophy written by Tobias Churton because you are a little unclear what gnosticism is.
Tobias Churton wested 10 years to make this clear and he managed pretty well.

*Yes I believe in God,
*Everything I observe in the physical universe.
*To complex to answer in an open forum
*There are many gods, only one Creator
You can believe in any god or no god, as they can care less that you believe,,,,,for now. :)

I can not here explain it in full detail, Mainly my beliefs are a mixture of Sumerian, and other middle eastern beliefs with some Indus Vally thrown in for good measure. I believe in a creator God, and gods of the physical temporal universe. These gods are not helpful to men and surely end up hurting and inslaving mankind. I guess you can blame the different religions in the world on these lessor gods of this universe.

Hi Freethinkingagent,
I just want to ask about your statement "There are many Gods, only one Creator" so you mean that you believe in many Gods. If that so what is the difference of God and Creator?
Please clarify your statement.
Be blessed!

I do believe there's an entity out there but I don't go to church! Nowadays, in my country religion is just another business! Has nothing to do with belief or faith! So, I'd rather keep my faith to me instead of trying to prove it in church or in front of a priest :)

You could put this philosophy on another thread or post that it would go well with. Very succinct and to the point... Good job...

Why would God be angry as to whether I choose to believe or not believe in her? If there is a God I don't think this she is such a small God that she would be offended if I questioned her.

I walk in a fine line in between a believer and secptors. I believe in the existance of GOD but do not believe that GOD have make all those silly religous thing like wat you can do and cant do. Man has used god name to do his agenda and do not wish be a part of it. I believe that GOD will lead us to a better path if be are truthful to ourself and do not cause harm to someone else intensionally
