Anyone using DELL XPS series?

I'm actually looking for a laptop and is currently comparing the HP Pavillion series with Dell XPS series. I'm very interested in Dell XPS M1530 - it's affordable and the reviews look pretty good. Just wondering if anyone is using Dell XPS series here? What is your opinion on that? Is it good? Does it last? I'm quite worried to be honest, because I'm currently using Dell Latitude series and it's not as lasting as I'm hoping it would be. This is OK since it's company laptop. I don't want my personal laptop to have such a short life span. Any opinions or comments will be much appreciated!

my friend has a a red XPS n i have an HP Pavilion.. n they are almost neck to neck!

her biggest issue is the spywares but thye are not an issue whn buyin it n she aslo says tht they heat up somitimes

Almost a month ago, I have brought a laptop of the brand Dell V1400, and I found it is valueable for the money, except that there is no original system with when brought. And whether it is good or not ,maybe I should tell you a littile longer.
