Do you have a routine when cleaning?

I like to have music on as well, it helps me get in the cleaning mood. i start with the kitchen, move on to the bath room, then the living room & then my room. But i like to keep the sweeping & mopping for last.

I start from the bottom and work my way up! My house is huge to say the least so its a never ending story. By the time I'm done I have to start over again. I am not the type of person to live to clean so I starighted up the living room kitchen area every evening and do the clean clean process on the weekends.

It is easier to have the house to yourself when cleaning, the jobs do get done quicker. I never really have a routine, I decide on the day what needs to be done and then what I am going to do that day. I normally try and keep ahead with the basics, but there is still a layer of dust in my living room as after I've cleaned the toilets, iron etc I'm bored and fed up so don't get any further. Perhaps I ought to make a roper routine and stick to it and make a timetable. Espically as I used to be so very house proud in the past and deep down I would really like to be house proud again

i usually start my work with my breakfast for the day. i get up and cook breakfast and then after the breakfast my work of cleaning starts and then i would do the things proper in place in my living room and bed room and vaccuming and then go to kitchen and wash dishes and cook for lunch and hen do all other remaining work. laundry work i usually keep it on the weekends and it is sometimes i wah it in between the week and staircase cleaning and all is at weekends.

ya i too play music when im cleaning.Its make me enjoy my work while cleaning.I play fast songs because i feel more energetic after listening that.I too start with dishes then sweeping etc.you would be thining im male from my username but its my bothers name.im female.lolz happy mylotting and have a nice time.

Yessss!! i have to clean. First i clean windows or the bedrooms, and things like that and at last i sweep and mop :D lol, well have a nice day and a good week see you and bye bye ;)

For me I clean when ever I feel like it dos not matter time or my mode

I think this is what I lack - a routine. I love cleaning my place but i do it in workable chunks. Meaning, i do not have a day of general cleaning. I find it too taxing. Great day!

I usually do the laundry. When the laundry is spinning I start to dust around and sweeping the house. Next, I hang the clothes to dry. After that I will arrange stuff around the house. Usually I listen to rihanna or britney on my sony walkman.

i never clean anything i let that job for my wife. it is not a burden for her. actually i am not asking for she to do it. she just don't allow me to do anything. she is a house wife and she is sooo caring about me.

You sound a bit like me ,when I decide to have a good old go I always start up stairs as if I start down stairs I give up before I finished,By starting up stairs I have to finish as it is staring me in the face and my bathrooms downstairs and you cannot leave the kitchen and bathroom.I brush the walls clean the windows, dust then vacuum the carpets.That way I don't end up missing anything and when I get into it I love it nothing nicer than looking back at a clean room all nice and shiny then everybody comes through the door and a day later I am doing it all again,don't mind really it is nice to look after a family and it is my choice to stay at home,I like it.

I usually listen to my Ipod so its more relaxing

Personally, I like to have everybody out of my way because no one seems to move fast enough once I get started =) Music does help out a lot but sometimes makes me try to move faster and get more aggravated with others.

Yeah, I routinely try to put it off! I've been cleaning for 30 years and then some and I am just tired of it! But it has to be done so I organize according to what the days will be. For instance, I do all the heavy cleaning on Friday so it is clean on the weekend when my husband is home long enough for his white glove test that I have been getting for the last 30 years. THen on the weekends or days that I have my grand daughters, I clean before but not while they are there - anyting goes as I want to spend the time with them, not cleaning. Then the day after I will clean things up - they do really well about putting their things away, but there is always something left! And the dishes - these two little girls eat me out of house and home! I feed them healthy, and they just eat all day long! But when they go home, they are picky eaters.. dont' know why! But I do 3-4 loads by hand of dishes eery day they are here! THen during the week Ipick up after myself and make sure I do all I can to not make a mess to be cleaned later - paper plates and things like that ONly thing I really "schedule" is laundry - electric rates are a bit cheaper after 7pm and before 7am so I make sure I do laundry then, although with just the two of us, it isn't that much anyway, but I try the best I can to save and conserve!
