What Am I Thinking?

i'm not exactly a clean freak, but i would have to clean up that hutch. lol i'm pretty good at putting things away, and having a certain place for things, even if it's just a basket to toss it in until i put it away. it keeps the total house work down to a minimum, which is good now that i'm having to do things one-handed for the most part.

Oh yeah, we're like that too. We have a shelf in our bedroom that is a catch all for everything, its a poor sight to see, I've been meaning to go thru it and throw things away that don't need to be on it, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Well my husband divided it up between us, he said I could have two shelves and he would take two shelves, but if you look at it, he has almost 3 shelves, and all my stuff is crammed onto 1 and a half...lol. Theres everything from books, to makeup, to perfume, to Cd's, to fishing lures, to tools, to fly fishing stuff, to picture albums, to a globe cover also...you name it, its on there..lol. We're messy individuals when it comes to storage, if its a flat surface, you can bet, that there will be alot of stuff stacked on it.

I don't have a hutch but I'd love to get one some day. I have some very nice, extremely old dishes that I'd love to display in it...their tucked away in my cupboards for now. Other than my desk getting kind of cluttered I'm pretty good about putting things away. [b]~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**[/b]

Flat surfaces just cry out to be covered in things... Maybe just put your tools in the toolbox where they belong so you can find them when you need them, and the hutch will look a lot less messy. The bread and juice, plates, etc. actually belong there, now, don't they?

The front of mine is fine....the bottom shelf on one of them is where things tend to accumulate. I buy the quarters...and new dollars for the grandkids and I toss them there until I send them off. I also have other papers etc...that I want to keep handy. Otherwise most of it does just have pretties in it.

I need more storage, much more. I like to store my stuff away out of sight so I need a hutch without a glass door. I dson't like clutter but my house is full of clutter

Thats normal to me. I have a shelf unit and it seems to catch all the ends and ends too. I wish I could be more organized, but I am not.

We have a bad habit of putting things on the coffee table. Ever so often I take it all to what we lovingly call the junk drawers and in it goes. I have places for all the misc stuff but sometimes the coffeetable is the catch all lol

I think you're very organised, GB - after all, you know where everything is, don't you? I like to think I'm an organised person, but we have a LOT of stuff, and to other people it probably looks like clutter. It's all in its place though, and I know exactly where things are when I'm looking for them.

Hi GRANDPA BOB, In my hose ots my husband that is very untidy, he will put things down on shelf and everywhere and then cannot find things that he wants, Iam always telling him of and to get the place tidy. Tamara

My entire family is just like that. We don't have counter space in our house. It's used for our storage area's. I do have a curio that is neatly organized but that's the only organized place in our house.

If my hubby left my hutch like this I would kill him Bob. I am a very tidy person. This does look like my Dads house, only he has saw dust and model aeroplanes every where. He is just like you, but he knows where everything is, so I guess he does not mind. If you know where everything is I suppose this is your way and you will not change it.

you are a little similar to me,guy.i don't have a good habit either.i always take things in a bad look,not in a good order.i don't like to wash clothes,always do it until i have no idea.i want to change it,because i am get mature day by day.now,i beacome good day by day.pay more attention on our life.good luck.

Man, that's nothing. Have you seen that episode of the Simpsons when Marge goes away, Homer and Bart are left alone in their home and they do "snow angels" on the trash? That's me. I feel tempted to post pictures of it, but it would be too embarrassing. Rich

Lol..I have to laugh as my hutch needs sorted out as well. Some of thinsg I have. I plan on giving to a friend if she would ever come over to my new place. Once she does I will be able to clear some things out. If not, I will probably put the things on Craigslist and tell someone to come get them.

gosh I am a totally mess so is my son and so is my boyfriend's office but he does not have a messy home, isn't that weird.

Grandpa Bob, You should see my office. I can hardly walk with the way I have filed everything. I am to the point to where I need to clean it out. I need to get motivated and get busy. I just cannot seem to get myself to move the crap around and put it in some kind of order.

Sounds like my house...There is no order here...I've accepted that there never will be...LOL I have several of the shelves, hutches and such just littered with just about anything you can think of.. When my husband wants something he can find it..so yes it is his storage idea...lOL Oh well...

I am not a neat freak either. I take things out and don't not put them back right away. If I had a hutch it would look like yours minus the dog food. I don't have a dog. I do clean my mess up once in a while. Happy Holidays GrandPa Bob.
