Personally I am falling more and more in love with Adobe Illustrator, but I still reserve Photoshop as the premier product of my arsenal. Photoshop just has more control on everything despite it being a raster-based program. Illustrator is nice because it is vector based and handles text very very well... So yeah enough of me rambling on...

I have heard of the Adobe Illustrator program and would probably enjoy it, but one that I own (or own a couple of the versions), is Paint Shop Pro. I love being able to work with the pictures I have taken, saved, etc. and add things to them, etc. It sure helps to add color and life.

HI WrauseHOme,
Adobe Illustrator is the sister of Adobe Photoshop. they have similarities but have edge over the other. if youre working mostly with graphics and texts... illustrator is the way to go because of its ability to handle vector file -meaning, if you want crisp text and sharp graphics - that is the power of illustrator. Photoshop on the other hand is excellent in image manipulation. so if you are mostly working on images - photoshop is the way to go. Ive use paintshop pro but in my opinion - photoshop has a lot more to offer.

Roboform! Like so many people, I use a dozen programs every day. But what I like best is the program that remembers and protects all my passwords, fills out forms and launches web pages as I need them.

Pain.NET :D I'm no artist haha I basically use it to crop, focus, or color something. Or to create logos (as a favor, not as a business). I actually wanted to say "visual studio" or "eclipse" and then found out that this was posted under graphics designer haha
Thanks for commenting in my discussion!

i think it depends on what kind of work you're in. as for me, im an architect and photoshop is my primary tool in all of adobe products, on autodesk products, Autocad, 3ds max and revit are my primary arsenals. Illustrator i believe is more for graphic artists who work on vector artworks rather than image (raster) manipulation. the strength of photoshop is on image manipulation i guess.

I've been using photoshop from release 7 to CS4 and each time they seem to totally transform the way it is used and the things you can do with it. I haven't given Illustrator much attention since vector graphics ain't my thang, but Photoshop always seem to get the job done.
