What do you feel about people talking loudly in their mobile phones in public?

I was sitting in the public bus. I was on the way to the market to buy some meat for the dogs when I heard someone talking loudly. I turned around to have a look at the speaker and noticed a young man. He had stuffed one finger in his right ear. The other ear had a mobile phone stuck to it. And he was talking really loudly.
How do you react when you see or hear people talk loudly in their mobile phones in public places? Do you try to overhear? Does it anger you, amuse you, or upset you? I always try to overhear. I hear some great things sometimes.
Cheers and happy mylotting

talking loudly is so annoying specially when your doing something that needs full concentration. I'm a very soft spoken person so i tried not to raise my voice in talking with someone in person or in mobile phone even if I'm upset already. i also wanted others to treat me that way. so when i heard loud voices i got so irritated.

I do not understand why some people are not concerned that everyone can hear their phone conversation loud and clear. I have found myself on the bus and someone nearby begins a loud conversation on her mobile phone. I stop reading my book and find myself listening for a few minutes until I realize and I embarrassingly go back to my book feeling like I have invaded someone's privacy.

First, I don't like the people who talking loudly in the public, that is uncivilized. Except what he talk is urgent and the noise around is so loud that he has to speak loudy, I won't accept someone talking loudly in their mobile phones in public. Second, I don't like to try to overhear something either, which is also uncivilized. I maybe overhear something, but I never look it as my hobby. Well, although it anger or upset me, I usually ignore it. Only when it make me very angry, I would fix the man who speak loudly with stare to show warning.

I feel quite irritated when on a train or bus. I have nothing against talking on mobile phones, but don't think it's necessary for the entire vehicle to hear a one-sided conversation. I have answered my mobile on public transport but calls are nearly always short and I usually tell caller I'll ring them back later.

Oh!! this is pretty annoying. Of course it bothers me a lot. Seems like rude? maybe this people did not realize that some people are disturbed with their loud voice talking. well, if it is a sort of emergency, it is an excuse but if it is purely socializing? my goodness!! they have to wait when they will be in their private abode, then they can shout to the top of their voice and even laugh out loud talking to somebody with their phone.

I feel a little upset with people talking loudly especially inside a van.As if he/she wants all of the people to know that he/she's got a cell phone. There is nothing wrong to answer phone calls in public as long as they are not disturbing others with their loud conversations. When this happens I always feel yawning.I want to sleep

with his ear plugged that tells me he had a hard time hearring the person on the other end so human instint you just talk louder without even realizing it.
Depending on the place you are at is wether it annoys me or its amusing. If the person is talking loud enough for everyone to hear I don't see nothing wrong with over listening. If they didn't want you to hear they should talk quieter....yes some conversations are amusing.

I try to over hear too. Hey, if your going to yell and scream for all the rest of to hear, I'm going to listen! I havn't really heard anything funny yet. In fact most of the time I start to listen, but then they're just so boring that I tune my attention to something else. And as much as I hate to admit it, my mom is a loud cell phone talker. Even at home. I'll be watching t.v. with her and her cell phone will ring. Sometimes she talks so loud I have to turn the t.v. up. Then of course she gets annoyed and goes in another room. Hey, your phone is moveable, the t.v. isn't. Get over it. You know? lol.

well people talking real loudly on the cell phone can be amusing at times and also irritating most of the times like it has been to me..... i used to work in a call center here in india and so we used to work in night shifts all the time.... we used to get a cab pick and drop all the way to our houses as the shifts used be late night shifts.... and when i used to sit myself in the car there always used to be a chatterring woman next to me who would be inevidently talking to her boyfriend and so would be disturbing all the others who would actually be wanting a little peace of mind before they actualy hit the noisy floor to start their work.... and sometimes i used to tell the spealer to talk a bit low but all in vain...for a few minutes they used to talk ina lower tone which would anyways increase soon after....gosh sometimes i wish i could wring them by their necks and kick them out of the cab !!

It's rude and annoying. You can't help but listen to what they are saying. You can only hope it's half-way interesting! LOL

It is now common in our every day life. The culture of our society has been developed in such manner. So we should not mind it. We are facing dust pollution and shout pollution. These are gift of the time which is passing away. We should become in habitual. Otherwise it is natural to become angry or upset. But you see that upset or angry people could not be considered as normal people. Listen every thing, see every thing but live your life normally. This is whole fun and you should enjoy the life.

Some people, I swear, do it just for the shock value. They've got so little going on in their lives that telling the world (via their mates on a mobile) about their love lives is the biggest thrill they get all day.
I was subjected to someone like this the other day in the library of all places. Why this girl needed to share the details of who was sleeping with whom within her circle of friends with all the other patrons I've no idea, but it gave me and an elderly lady nearby an amusing ten minutes.

Hi positiveminded,
I hate it, it annoys me no end, I just think they just showing off, I once told off a lad on the bus that none of us want to hear his conversation and he got rude so the bus driver threw him off the bus. I have a mobile phone but I have it switch off till I am off the bus and I don't use my phone that often, only for emergency.
