Which small kitchen appliance would you miss most if you did not have it?

I have an electric cook pot called a resmoska. I comes from Europe. It is unlike any other cook pot I have come across. You can bake cakes and bread in it. You can make stews and casseroles, and you can also do a roast dinner in it. I do not know what I would do without it. I would rather do without my cooker.

I would have to say the rice cooker, which we use at least three times a week, closely followed by the slow cooker. Both sorts of cooking can be done in other ways, but without the enormous convenience of being able to set them up and walk away. The thing I would miss least is the microwave, which gets used once a month, maybe, for defrosting. Grandpa

I had a slow cooker but when it gave up the ghost I discovered the remoska and fing it is more adaptable than the slow cooker. Thankyou for your response.

i like to drink hot coffee in the morning and even in the afternoon or evening har har har. but i dont drink brewed coffee. so the one appliance in the kitchen that i can not live without or i will surely miss is my electric kettle. i can also use this on instant noodles and instant oats. my wife will maybe miss the juicer for she loves that appliance.

I am lucky I have a gas hob so if the electricity went off I could use that for heating the kettle. I keep one for emergencies. Thankyou for your response.

Mixer. Most important in my kitchen. It helps not only in daily eating habits but also it is quick and really helpful appliance in breaking small pieces to make juices. I love vegetable and fruit juices.

I eat a lot of fruit but I am not keen of juices. My husband has pink grapefruit juice every morning but we just buy it. Thankyou for your response.

My coffee maker aka Tea maker, I use my coffee maker to brew tea, we're not coffee drinkers, but we drink alot of tea, I think I brew tea just about every other day, my husband and I can go thru a gallon just like that. If something happened to it, I would be lost, we wouldn't know what to drink...lol.

My kitchen without a microwave is incomplete. Although we do need electricity for that. But I would still be happy if I had only a microwave in my kitchen. Usually I'm not the one who does all the cooking in the kitchen. If a non-electric appliance had to be chosen then I would want a mighty purpose slicer to cut all the vegetables and other stuff. It saves a lot of time, and especially a lot of years, in case of onions.

I agree that a slicer is a good non electrical thing to have. In the winter we do a lot of stews and in the summer, salads. So we need to slice a lot. Thankyou for your response.

I watch a lot of Food Network, but am just now starting to teach myself to cook a bit. I think I never really cooked much because I hate doing dishes! I'm in college and don't cook much, so I'd definitely be miserable and almost hopeless without a microwave.

Well the cooker I would miss the most is the rice cooker as that is the one I use the most. After that I suppose the slow cooker as that is wonderful for cooking casseroles. We do not really use any other sorts of cookers at home. We do roasts in our oven and we have a gas oven and stove tops which is where we do most of our cooking.

We are inclined to use the hob more in the summer and use the remoska in the winter. Thankyou for your response.

I would probably have to say my electric can opener. I use it quite a bit. Or maybe my george foreman grill. i use both of them quite a bit & they are quick & easy to deal with. Right on the counter for quick & easy access. Best wishes.

Probably my microwave would mak he top of the list. ALthough I don't use it to actually cook in I use it to do quick jobs and heatinf things up. Next would be my stand up mixer from Kitchen Aid. I use it almost daily.

A microwave is handy sometimes especially if I have forgotten to take something out of the freezer. Thankyou for your response.
