our church is having a potluck dinner on dec 6. I'm supposed to bring a main course dish as well as a side dish. I need ideas on what to bring. what's a good main course dish to bring to the potluck dinner? what's a good side dish to bring to the potluck dinner.

I am not a Christian. so i don' know the rule of church food. what do you think the chinese food for side dish, it's really delicious.

we can bring any type of food we want. . . Chinese food sounds good

A simple but delicious main course that I often make for pot lucks is homemade mac and cheese, it is a classic and it would work as either your main course or a side dish depending on what you want to put in it. You can also check out recipes on the food network website-they have TONS of great recipes.

Try making a lasagna,it's not that hard to make and it feeds plenty of people.
