How do you write your feelings?

I know that a lot of people like to keep a journal or a blog. Some people like to write poetry. I like to write either poetry or songs (not that there's much difference between the two). It seems to help especially when i'm feeling really upset. Just being able to write down how i feel but in a away that i can use in the future and in a way that i love. How about you? In what ways do you express your feelings and why? I'm open to any other suggestions to try new ways.

i think if you cannot write poetry or song like me, i sometimes draw and post pictures, you do not need to draw well or anything. i think just try your best and just say what you feel, even "i am sad" or simple sentences liek that, becuase why be trying to be poetic just be yourself and do what you feel becuase thats you and that is what you wnat to remember

wow... i wish i could also write poetry...
i just write everything i feel in a piece of paper and let all of my feelings out, i do write some nasty and bad words... and then, i just keep it. but i make sure the date is there. so when i come across the paper again, i would read it and most of the times, after reading it, i just tear and throw it away...

I usually write my feelings in brief notes and keep them in a safe place. I often write poems, whenever I feel like expressing my mistakes. I find myself writing in my diary or journal during bedtime, because this is when I express my feelings whole-heartedly.

around bedtime seems to be the time when i feel the most. it's like at that time, my mind is starting to slow down and everything i'm feeling is starting to show itself more clearly. sometimes it seems like too much to handle and at others i get tired. it's strange. but thats also the time when i start a new song

All it takes is a pen and a piece of paper, or a PC
with a notebook and keypad...
Just sit for a second and do some thinking, think
about anything and everything then put your thoughts
into words. Your hurt, anger, love, lust and even hidden
fantasies are words you can portray with writing.
Words have healed me and carried me to a new peace
of mind.

I think the first trick is to take away the barriers you have created for yourself. Most people are too shy or insecure to really put their feelings out there. You need to be very secure with yourself in order to really be honest with others. It's not easy I know. I usually just let it rip in my first draft. I write and write and write and I don't stop until the feelings are all down. Then I take some time to try and make it ledgible so that it makes sense. The key is not to censor yourself. That's what works for me anyway, hope it helps, Jay

hello, my name is Luzmila and about this comment I think when really you are fall in love of someone or somebody very special , your feelings talks for themselves. Most of time we waste a lot of time with the no idicate person, but with the time we see that it was a big mistake, and later you look and look for till you find somebody who has the best of the best in feelings, character, even though in her or his sound of voice.somebody who make me smile on my face, a person who have a good heart that is more enough for me and also looking for a kind good hearted man who is caring and loving and honest. Man who care for love and respect to other. I say him my ideas, my fantasies, my real life, and tell him how I'd like that his way in any moment be lovely, lover, and very very romantic with me. I want to be the most and first important woman in his life, with respect but enough love between us.
at the beggining we must say everything how do you think things are going to pass, and the most important do it truely. every day give love and love and with the time to get a solid relation and truely powder.

Growing up, I could only get an understanding of my feelings through music, singing, and eventually writing poetry and lyrics. As a young adult, I enjoyed journaling, which would ease a great deal of stress as well. I haven't been into writing anything now, for at least a good ten years. No wonder I'm so stressed out.

I use writing poetry, lyrics, and blogging to express my feelings. I also keep notebooks to jot down things, doodle and do Vent Art. buT I draw badly, so I mostly stick to wring.

Usually I just write a short story or draw, but lately I've been working on a novel. So whenever someone upsets me, later on someone strikingly similar to that person will pop up in my story. And rarely will any good come to that character.
It's actually a really good stress relief. And I use it for any sort of emotions that I may have as well. Say if I am saddened or something, then I would put my main character in a similar situation and see how she deals with it.

expressing feelings in words is a bit difficult and all people just cant do it but some people do write songs and poetries and it is really amazing that those people put their feelings in the form of words so beautifully that most of us like it and it is also a way to covey our feelings and i would wish to have this talent but unfortunately i dont have it and i can much express my words in simple writing but only sometimes.

i know i'm not good in poetry, rhyming words and fitting them in a sweet note. but sometimes when im in the mood for it, i can make 2-4 lines of poem. oh what an achievement for me lol! whenever i feel like writing down my feelings, i just open my blog and update it. whenever u feel like doin it, any piece of paper will do. collect it and bind it, do a little drawings. you can print it and upload it to your favorite blog site. well, i hope my idea differs from others. lol!

I like to write my feelings but most of the times that is risky if you dont want anyone to know about them. I also sing to express myself. I happen to make songs by myself and make them up as I sing. I feel that very freeing. but dont try it if you cant sing without making the dogs bark. you can paint too. that is a great way to express yourself

personally i spit freestylez. this way its something like poetry whereas you can say something without really saying it. you can reveal a deep inner secret in a way that only you or those really close to you can understand.

I have kept journals for various short periods of time during my life. When I look at old journals that I've written in, I often find them full of rants about things I was angry about then but couldn't care less about now. I have decided that this is silly, so now if I'm writing down about my day I try to keep things positive and just leave out all the things that annoyed me, made me mad, etc... I know that I will quickly forget these things and there's no use hanging onto them in print for the rest of my life, to be revisited and create bad emotions.

I love keeping a journal as well as a blog! I have been keeping a journal for many years and it really does help me at times. Whenever I am going through a difficulty of some sort I always write down my thoughts and feelings. Another thing that has come about as a result of my journal writing is that I have been published on several online writing sites. I love to write and keeping a journal has been the obvious choice. Writing can be a good form of therapy and it can really help you to release those negative thoughts, at least so that they are on paper rather than remaining locked in your mind. Good luck with your own writings. Also, welcome to My Lot, I'm sure that you will love it here. Andrew

I record my feelings through utilizing journals when writing by hand, and I also compose my thoughts off the top of my head on my computer. I love to do all kinds of writing, but writing poetry is my passion. I really enjoy it a lot, in addition to really enjoying writing, in general.

I create a blog thinking I would write down there my feelings even those that are very personal, complicated and very confidential. I dont meant of sharing my blog. So I wrote down my love life, feelings to friends, huzzle in the workplace and other stuff. But a friend told me about earning dollar over blog which got my interest. So I joined some but I need to share my blog to others too things that ruin my personal blog. Now its not personal anymore. Its free for all to see.
Now I use my diary or journal for my personal thoughts coz I am afraid I might hurt other people feelings when they visit my blog.
I have changed my blog from personal into ministry(something I do).
