This is a very intriguing movie, I have read some summary about the novel and I find it interesting. what is more intriguing about is the hype the media puts into it. In my local area alone hey televised the premiere night and I have seen some local personalities who watch the movie. Have you seen it? Is it worth the hype?

I've read all the books and I'm not a fan. I don't really understand the hype about the books because they are not good in my opinion. Because I don't like the books I can only wonder how the movie is especially since I hear from various sources that it has stayed as true to the book as possible.

I've read the book, and I've seen the movie. I view the books as light reads, something to get into when you have a few hours to while away. I don't see them as great literature or anything, but the plot was intriguing enough to make me finish the series. As for the movie, I thought it was fun to watch. As a rule, I keep my expectations low when I watch a movie based on a book, because I always believe that moviemaking and writing are two different artforms. Still I was not disappointed, and I enjoyed the experience. Whether its worth the hype, I really don't know. I chose to watch it several days after its release because I don't want to battle screaming teenagers. The friend who watched it with me has not read the book, but after watching the movie, decided she wants to read the books now..and she is not a reader like me. So I guess it does have its charm...LOL..

I will watch it when it comes out in the UK. because I really enjoyed the books. from the trailers it looks really cheesy, but then the books are cheesy too, so that's okay.

I have not read the book, although I am reading it now. And I have to say that it is a hype thing. Anyways, I find the movie ok, because basically it is a love story. After watching it, I have been haunted by the scenes -- it basically had a nice effect on me.

Based on the reviews i have read, it's worth watching. All i know it's based from a book. I thought it was horror because of its title, some say it's a love story. Until i saw its trailer at the television. I think it's really worth watching. Yep, i got plan of watching it, i'm just looking for a company.

I am going to watch it tonight! My husband downloaded it for me and I can't wait. The quality makes it look like a sandy 70's movie. I read the book and just can't wait to see how they treat certain things that happened in the book. I am sure nothing is really worth all the hype, but I am looking forward to seeing it just the same.

I haven't seen it and am not planning to. Actually I'm sort of planning to watch it, sometime when I'd rather watch a chick flick that my boyfriend wouldn't like and would rather waste time that myLot :) I heard it's terrible. And the books don't have good reputations either. I haven't read any of them and am dreading the time when I HAVE to ("have to" because I always "have to" read something that will help me win an argument better...like argue that the movie/books aren't worth it for example :) :D

This guy (who read all 4 and watched the movie) thinks it's crap: http://mrmsmultiplywtflol.multiply.com/journal/item/90/An_open_letter_to_Twilight_fans I'm trying to "fuel the fire" so to speak. I've seen some pretty "hurt" comments in the blog but it's fun to read so I'm sharing it all!

Yes, I'm gonna watch this movie tomorrow (november 29)with my officemates. I read the plot and found it very interesting. Well, it's a story of a vampire who falls in love with a human being, a kind of plot that draws interest and excitement among moviegoers. It's good to see a story who trascended personalities and position in life, it is something I always look forward too in a movie and not the boring love story between two people who eventually meet a happy ending. Twilight sounds spectacular, I mean atleast for its plot. I did not read the book to avoid disappointments, because I know that a book inspired film has totally different from the original book version, and reading a book might enticed my mind to expect to much about the film, so I declined reading the paperbacks and look forward to the theater instead.

I'm planning to read a book and I'll probably watch the movie too. I don't expect much from the movie. And there's no hype over it here where I live. Haven't seen single trailer or poster, just few reviews and nobody really talks about it.

I thought it was worth it. I watched it last night and loved it. I haven't read the book yet, but the movie was awesome in my opinion. It's worth the money to see it. Happy Thanksgiving

I only went to see the movie because of all of the hype. I loved the movie so much that on the way home, I bought the book and I'm about a third of the way through it. IMHO, it's much more of a romance story than a story about vampires. In the last scene of the movie, there was a clear set up for a sequel. The theater was mobbed with people of all ages and when it premiered in my area, people spent the night to get tickets to the first showing.
