A little question about paypal...

Who among you here has an unverified Paypal account? (Because I have one...) How do you get paid for that? I read on the help section there that in an unverified account the maximum withdrawal limit is "$0.00" I'm not sure if that means I would not be able to withdraw any amount OR that there would be no limit to that... Anyways, I'd like to know if there are those who have an account the same as mine.
By the way, I haven't applied for a credit card when I was employed and now that I'm back to being a 'tambay' (it's hard to walk around for 8hours while pregnant! lol) it would be hard for me to get one. So there. =)
Any suggestions on how to go about withdrawing the money? Thanks very much.

I too had this problem up until a couple of weeks back. I was unverified for ages and no matter what I did my account would become verified. The good news is you can still recieve payments into your paypal account...however the bad news is to my knowledge you cannot withdraw money from this account to your local bank account until your paypal is verified.
For several months money was accumilating in my paypal account and until I verified myself I couldn't get at it. Was very worried at one point all my effort had been in vain and I may not have ever been able to access it. So I think the most important thing for you to do is get verified. Without this your account is not fully set up and although you can still successfully recieve payment there's no guqarantee you will easily be able to get your hands on it until this has been completed.

It took me a while but I finally got there. Think the problem I had was that I opened a premier account rather than a personal one because I had the intention at the time of selling things on ebay. Anyway it said after I had linked my account successfully that I would need to confimr my address through a phone call...failing that a letter was sent to me with a 6 digit code which I then had to enter on their site. After this my account still was verified so I added a bank card, the code was listed on my statement and I entered this into their site. Everything was linked but it still wasn't reading as verified. So I looked back over what I had done and notice it said supply additional information. Once I had completed this section my status changed and I have been verified ever since.
If i'd have known all i'd had to do was supply additional information perhaps I wouldn't have needed to confirm my address and bank card.
Hope this gives you a little more idea of how to do it. It took me the best part of a month to complete this and am so releaved it's finally sorted.

Um, okay, I've been doing Paypal for a while now and I've fallen into a routine with them, so I'm not familiar with new policies or whatnot. I think you need to have your account verified first. I remember not being able to do anything with mine except accept money until I had it verified. Now, I withdraw directly to my bank account, but the amount is converted into pesos (the local currency). I'm not sure what the minimum amount you can withdraw is, but if you withdraw Php7k or more, you don't get charged for the service. I don't know if this helped, but congratulations on being pregnant anyway. :)

To withdraw any of your paypal account you have to verify it I think.
I believe it is adding a bank account or applying for a debit card and
using that to verify it. I never had this problem as I added a bank
account the day I opened my paypal account. The withdrawl amount you mentioned is the maximum amount that you could withdraw. Being at zero means you must have to verify it. Mine states $500 for that amount.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I have already added a bank account a few days after I applied for my Paypal account but still my account says "Unverified" and I've already had the account for weeks now. I guess I'd need that credit card to verify it. I have read though on myLot's FAQ that you don't need a credit card to set up a paypal account. They didn't specify though if it could be verified or not wihtout it. Thanks for the response. =)

I am an unverified member too. I'm still waiting to at least have $100 in my PP account before I work on verification.
I am not a believer of credit cards (allergic to owing anybody anything, especially banks) so I only use my debit card for purchases. However, since my BPI card has no mastercard logo, I can't link it to PP.
I find Unionbank's charges too high. I'm planning to apply for a BPI Cash card soon (annual fee only P100 last I heard) that has the mastercard logo. That's the one I'll link to my PP account. My sister-in-law's PP account was hacked and $8000 was pilfered using her credit card. Good thing their bank reversed the money.
But to be on the safe side, I'd like to stick to a debit card that doesn't require you to maintain minimum balance.

Hmmm... maybe I'll try that one. I still have a looong way to go before reaching a big amount though so I'd still have to wait out for that one. Maybe by that time I could already apply for a card and have the account verified. I'm just hoping I wouldn't have to, or that the bank account I entered would be enough to get it verified. Thanks for the response.
By the way, how long have you had an unverified account? Would that affect your balance in paypal? Thanks again =)

You can use Unionbank's Eon card to withdraw your funds from your paypal account. The charge is very minimal. I think you can also use it to verify your paypal account. What you need to do to apply for an Eon card is visit any Unionbank branch, sign a form and submit a copy of two valid ids. They also charge 350 pesos as annual fee.

I have researched about Unionbank and even got tips from other Filipino myLotters (I think one of them was you...thanks, by the way) that it is the easiest bank to apply for when opening a paypal account. However, we don't have a Unionbank branch here in our province so that one's out. Another mylotter sent me a link to a list of paypal-accredited banks here in our country and found that Metrobank is one of them. Tried that with just the bank account but still no change with my status. Maybe they really need the credit card to verify it.

Unfortunately, you cannot withdraw your money from paypal if you are not verified. The verification process is actually a security measure on your part and on the part of paypal. The verification process is not all that difficult. You just need to attach a credit card to your account. If you can access your credit card online and get your expuse code, you can be verified within the hour. I hope this helps.

Have you verified the checking account? You have to enter the amounts that paypal deposited into your account. Did you do that? You could also consider adding your debit card from your checking account, right? I hope you get that resolved soon so you can get your money. Have a nice day.

You can still received payout or funds from your program even you are not verified user of Paypal but you can't withdraw your funds to any Philippine Banks. The solution for that, you can now apply for an EON card to any Unionbank nearest you. Bring 2 valid ID'd and pay Php 350 annual fee for your debit card. Banks representative will advise you how many days you can pick up your card. If you have the card already. Enroll it in their online banking system for you convenience specially the code you are going to use to verify your Paypal account.

I'm also one of those who still have unverified status in their pay pal account as I don't have a bank account and a credit card to use yet...I can't use my credit card anymore for I still have to pay my accumulated dues that's why it's been canceled already.. I opt to apply for a bank account soon but just don't have any idea on what bank is affiliated with pp so it would be easier for me to withdraw my funds from it..btw, I'm from the same country as yours, some have mentioned about unionbank eon while others say Metrobank is the best...
The important thing is I have to apply for a bank account so I would be verified and be able to withdraw my earnings from pp... as you've mentioned you do have an account already with metrobank but still it did not change your status...
perhaps, there are still some details in the account that you need to fill up aside from the bank or credit card details.. try to check them out.. or you can send the pp management an email and inquire about your problem...

I can't use paypl as I have an ongoing dispute with them. It would be really great if myLot would add Alertpay which is another service that does the same thing paypal does but with more integrity.

As several others had said, you cannot withdraw your Paypal earnings in the Philippines if you have an unverified Paypal account.
Most Filipinos (including me) don't own a credit card, but a good alternative to verifying your Paypal account is to apply for a Unionbank EON debit (ATM) card. Unfortunately, this is the only ATM/debit card that is known to work with Paypal.
Sadly, you'll have to apply for the card personally at the bank. I heard that the online application is not working anymore (check the bank website, it may be up again).
