My sister brought it for us to watch on Thanksgiving. I had never read the Iron Man comics so I did not know the story but it was a pretty decent movie. Now, I would not say Academy Award level, but nice entertainment.
I like those type of action movies, like Hell Boy. I never thought that I would get into those, but they are very fantasy-ful, so it is fun.
What other movies, that are similar, that you like?

Pan's Labyrinth is a fantasy film but the language is in spanish but there are subtitles provided for that movie. It was made from the makers of Hellboy 2. So i'm pretty sure you'll love it too. More than Hellboy i think. Iron Man movie is faithful to the comics so you're still in track of the story so don't worry hehe.

Grimm and Pan were great films. The Spiderwick Chronicles was also interesting. I am used to reading the subtitles. And the reason is that sometimes the actors get into their " soft tone" and the music drowns out their voices.

Hell Boy 2 has some interesting twists in it and I think that you will like it a lot. Ron Pearlman plays it perfectly!

It would have been better if our Mother stopped talking. But then again she did not pick the movie, so if it is not her idea,it is not good.
I did love this movie, but a tad bit better on the BIG screen as opposed to a small screen.

Hahaha! Yes, we know how that works with Mom, huh? She was not happy about the pork, either. Said it was not made the way she did it. Well, we had to cook it fast because of the time you all got here. We should have just had turkey and left it at that.

My husband bought the movie a few weeks ago. I didn't really like it but I'm not really into movies like that either. It just didn't make sense to me at all. I'm more of a romantic comedy type person. I guess if you were in to this kind of movie then it would be ok but I just found it boring and it didn't really flow that well. I hear they are making a second one but I'm not really sure why.

Haha, you sound just like my mom!!
I love romantic comedies, too, but I like most types of movies, except for those stupid, chop 'em up, the man with the chain saw is killing everyone movies.

I thought it was a really good movie. I grew up reading the comic books and I think Robert Downey Jr. made a great Tony Stark, the rest of the cast was equally good and the movie is very action packed.
Unfortunately, I watched it after watching the new "Incredible Hulk" which I thought was a superior, more interesting movie. I'm not even a fan of Hulk's comic books, so I was pleasantly surprised by it. I can highly recommend it to you if you liked Iron Man.
Of course, I also saw both of them AFTER watching "The Dark Knight", which I believe blows away every other comic movie made so far. But it's dark and a bit more adult oriented than the other two. So I really don't know if I should recommend it to you because I don't really know your tastes.
Having said that, I can't wait to get my hands on "Hellboy 2" I absolutely adored the first one.

I have not seen Dark Knight or Hulk yet, but will once I have some time. I heard both were very good.
Downey was excellent in the part. I like him, personally, as an overall good actor.

I hope you enjoy the movies, I just hate it when I recommend something and then people throw rotten eggs at me because they didn't like them.
And yeah, I agree, Robert Downy Jr. is a great actor. I've been a fan since I was ten and watched him alongside Mel Gibson in a very silly movie called "Air America". After that I kinda grew up watching his movies.
I'm so glad the dude managed to clean up his act and make such a huge come back, loved him in both "Zodiac" and "Iron Man", even though the characters are a bit like his real self. And I found him hilarious in "Tropic Thunder", which not only is the last movie I've watched, but it's also a silly movie. My fandom came to a full circle I guess.
But I'm just rambling and not about something entirely related to the discussion's subject, so I'll just move along.

I have not seen X-men or Dark Knight yet but they are on my list. I love the spiderman and star wars movies, as well as all of the Batman ones.
