My Dear Friends
In some religion ,dead person is burried like Christian and Islam .
And In some religion dead person is set to fire ,Like Hindu .
I somitimes think of it and find it inhuman act ,as dead person so cruelly burried or burnt .I feel hurt . I dont know why they do it .Afterall he or she is loved one of many .
I feel very bad , But I dont know why I feel so ?
Why Dead Person Is Burried /burnt After Death ? No Other Way To Better Treat Him ?Dont you find it inhuman sometimes from some point of view like burning and burring ?
What do you think of it ?
Thanks
Ganesh

The human body was made from the dust of this earth by God and that is why the body returns to the earth. Dust to Dust and Ashes to Ashes

but doesn't need to include a wooden box and slab of marble...the box only prevents the body from returning to the Earth, and the slab of marble is just a waste of real estate!

Dear Friend
I am sorry but ,I really do not understand this ,though heard from many .
How human body is made up of dust it is made from protein and other nutrients and not dust .The main content of dust is silica while of human body is protein and nutrients .
Yes if you talk of puppets and clay toys yes some puppets and clay toys are made out of dust ?
What do you think ?
Thanks for your response and such a nice information...!

Genesis 2:7 :
"And The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being."
Genesis 3:19 (King James Version):
"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken : for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."
Not taken literally, it basically means that in this Earth we all came from nothing, and we will all return to nothing. Our bodies are part of this world, and our souls are not attached.
Our bodies came from the Earth, and will return to the Earth.

Here in the U.S. you have several options...like you said you can be buried or cremated (burned), you can also be frozen and stored or, believe it or not, stuffed. Stuffed is like taxidermy (where they stuff animals after hunting). It's very rare to have it done to a person but I have heard of a few doing it. I wouldn't want to have someone stuffed b/c that just creeps me out and I wouldn't want to be a popsicle (cyrogenics) so that leaves buried or cremated. I don't want to be buried b/c I don't like the thought of bugs crawling all over me but I do like the idea of having a place where ppl can go to visit me if they want to. So I would do one of two things...either be cremated and have my urn buried in a plot or be cremated and have my ashes scattered over lake Michigan...I was born in Michigan.
As for it being disrespectful, I look at it like this...once we die, our bodies are just an empty shell. We're not in there anymore. The spirit that makes up who we are, our thoughts, feelings and dreams is gone. I believe that it goes to either Heaven or Hell. The body needs to be laid to rest, in whatever way the person wanted more as a final act of respect for all the years it held the spirit.

I feel the body is nothing but a shell and the soul is gone so to burn it does not matter to me. In fact to burn a body is better then taking space in the ground and burring it. I feel the whole casket and all the other stuff that is buried with the body is so bad for the environment. I would rather be cremated and scatter my ashes.

I do not understand why you want to keep the body? The body decays and turns back to dust or what ever it does. You do not what that rotting flesh in your home or am I missing the whole point of what you are trying to say?

The body is just a vehicle loan to us for our journey through life. When our spirits leave our bodies at the end of our journey, it is only right to return what we have borrowed back to nature. Some choose to be buried back, some choose to return it as ashes, some even choose to benefit the birds. Whichever way I choose, I believe that it is only right to return it at the end of my journey :)

Different religions have different methods of burials. I dont think that cremations is bad. I don't find it inhuman how we dispose of our earhtly body after that we go to the other world. © ronaldinu 2008

My Dear Friend
But how the departed soul feels seeing all this .
And what if you want to see them after six months ....you have no ways since you destroyed their bodies .
I think still there can be a better way .....
I have an idea ...
Let space travel get cheaper probably we can keep them their,on some other planet or space even .
On the other planet we can arrange a room for them to properly rest as they are tired of life I think . AQnd employing one person to take care of all .
Even others can meet them whenever they want to meet .
Or GOD should take its body back as he takes back soul in it
Thanks for your response and such a nice information...!

When we have left the body, we have left an empty shell. It cannot really be left as it would cause disease as it decayed. I look at it this way.. If I lost my arm, I would not worry that the damaged arm would be incinerated or destroyed in some other way. I am not my arm. So it is the same with any part of my body, and therefore with the whole of my body.

Yes thats true mr ganesh burying is a natural thing but while burning is the most extreme act of cruelty to me,and people should think about first what they are doing religion should not be blind to any follower unless they feel comfortable doing there rituals ........

Personally I think cremation is the best method of disposing of a body. We cannot afford the land for cemeteries any more. Burning is clean and removes risk of diseases of the body. It is not in humane as the person is no longer alive.
Once the spirit has gone it is no longer a person. I wish to be cremated when I die and my ashes scattered in the wind as that will return me to the earth.
Did you realise that old cemeteries are often built over these days. If it is not too old then they must move the bodies but if it is a very old place they leave them in the ground and just build over them. The bodies rot down and feed the soil.
The land in Europe was very rich after all the battles that were fought there. Thousands of soldiers buried in the land and all the blood and bone feeds the soil.
As for the Egyptians, only the rulers were preserved and buried in pyramids. All the others were just buried in the ground. There are too many people now to do anything else but cremate them.

My Dear Friend
No one thinks how soul feels seeing all this once his or her body is destroyed like this .
I think if space travel becomes cheaper we can built rooms for them to properly rest on other planets, and employing one security man to look after them .
I find it inhumane to burry or burn their bodies after all they are loved ones of someone,we should not be selfish to treat their body's so badly destroying them I think .
I think GOD should it take it back like he takes soul back ,

I think in our place they call it cemation. Of course i dont like the idea but if ever people would be cremating i wont be watching. But its just nature, humans came from nothing too as they say " from ashes to ashes and dust to dust". We actually came from nothing and will eventually come back to nothing when we die. God created man from dust and so man will also end up in dust. But i think it is also a sad fact that we wont be able to see our beloved departed ever again. There are also some people who wished to be cremated after they die maybe because they also belive that they came from nothing and will also end up to nothing. It is avutally one sad truth that no one could ever change and avoid. You would actually feel bad if you would really see their corpse being burned but i think some people choose to cremate their beloved departed ones because they have to choice but to cremate them.

Far be it from me to comment on anyone's religious belief! In my religion [Jewish], we bury in the ground, and I think that is a waste of land. Most religions believe the soul lives on, and the body only disintegrates anyway, so why have all that land taken up by old wooden boxes, most of which probably have nothing in them anymore?

well..i don't personally care to have it done to me (cremation)..
but some people consider it a sign of respect, rather than letting the loved one become food for worms.just people's particular beliefs,i guess.
where i live though, you have to pick one or the other by law.you don't have much of a choice.

I don't think it's inhumane. The spirit of the person who has occupied the body is no longer in the body, so it probably doesn't even matter to that person.
And, yes, I read your thoughts on space travel and putting the body in a room on another planet or something, but realistically, I don't see that happening.........and, if it does, not for a long, long time.
I personally would like to be buried in the ground, without a casket, in a forensic body farm.

The person is burnt because that was what they wished to be done. Its not inhuman when they are the one who made the choice. When I die I want to be burned and ashes spread where my spirit can be free, not buried and trapped in a box under the dark ground.
