Your trip sounds like it was incrediable. For me the only elephant I have ever rode was one you put a quarter in while your mommy waited for the ride to be over. I would love to ride a real elephant someday. I LOVE elephants and frogs those are my two collections that I like.

yeah i ahve had a couple of elephant rides in my lifetime...and they were awesome...such a majestic yet gentle animal it is.... which gives you the respect you show it and as simple as that.... you be rude to the elephant ..... well its your risk.....

Yes, I have ridden an elephant five years ago (I think), when I visited Thailand with some of my relatives. It was not through the jungle, though, but it is within a tourist spot. Two of us had to sit on a small chair which was settled on top of the elephant's back. I actually felt bad for that baby elephant at the time. We were not heavy but she is just a baby elephant! I also saw several elephants in the city. Good that you rode an elephant through the jungle. I hope I had the same experience, then I would not feel sorry for the elephants that are being away from their natural habitat and being used for livelihood. Well, just my opinion.
Happy myLotting!

hi there. we have to pay like for 600 baht for a thirty-minute ride. it's a little pricey if converted to our country's currency but hey... when will i get to do so again? hehehhee.... though i would like to ride a horse again, it was something like in a fair or something. how about you?

awgh!! ahaha. I never did. I can imagine how scary it would be to be riding in that biggest animal, and it's too tall? I know it's hard to climb up om the Elephants back. It might be very exciting for others but for me, It is no fun.. hahah Am scared just to think about it.

I have, I was right behind you while you were riding LOL! I felt sorry for some of the elephants there though... I don't feel like they were getting the care they deserved. Did you notice how when we went to the gardens with the cultural show,, the elephants there (and the one we took photos with) look better, cleaner (no slime!!), and happier than in other places.

I rode an elephant around Bristol zoo in the UK when I was a child. It was a great experience but nowhere near as good as riding one in the jungle. You are so lucky to have that chance. I really envy you.

I was about 5 or 6 and it was a great experience. The elephant was called Rosy and she was getting old. They took her into retirement not long after and she went to a place the zoo had for their retired large animals where she could have plenty of space and could rest and enjoy her retirement. The local paper did reports on her progress every so often. I hope you get to the UK sometime.

I have! I found it really fun, although I was scared at first. We rode about a mile or so, then we had to stop because it was feeding time. We wanted to go on after but they didn't let us.. oh well :)
