Why do people not reply?

maybe because it's easier to answer to a favorite brand, than to actually think before giving an answer. Maybe not everyone wants to be involved in a debate. Anyhow, I started some discussions also, and got only 2 responses. I guess it's also about how many discussion are created in a certain time, and how far away from the first page is yours...

i wish i can help you out but i also don't know the secret about this.like you,when i started here,i started a lot of discussions but there were no responses made.i guess the key here is to make lots of friends and make interesting topics.with more friends,the more likely your topics will be noticed by them.there are so many available discussions here so you need more exposure with your topics.when i got many friends,they were even the ones who mostly respond to my discussion.hope this helps!

This is somethign I have wondered myself, and I have been a member for over 2 years!!!! When I first started the mylot population was smaller, and I recieved more responses to my quesions, but like you say you only get a bunch of responses if your discussions are short, easy to read, and about silly topics! I started a discussion on Peak Oil (something everyone should be aware of) and I didnt get one response. Probably because its not a popu;ar idea, or topic, but I think it should be, because we will will be entering an iol crisis with in the next 15 years! Anyways I think I went off on a little rant. I understand your point completley, but I am not sure how to fix the problem. just try to get as many firneds as possible, the more friends you have, the more likley it will be that someone will respond to yoru discussions!
