hi there. i just wonder... are you like a churning, overflowing discussion starter or does it take a while to think of a discussion topic? do you really choose your words for the title?
there are times that i find it like popcorn hot and there are times that i would simply stare at my monitor. and come up nothing. that is when i simply answer to other people's discussions or go back to my old discussions and thank people who responded.
are you like me?

Hello, shiloh_222.
I have lots of ideas to create discussions. I can create many. However, I don't. I find it easier to respond to other's discussions than creating my own. I believe that I can earn more through responding, and I do not want to fill myLot with garbage. You know, just because I have ideas it doesn't mean I have good ones. I do create discussions once in a while, and perhaps I should turn it into a habit, but I don't feel like doing it.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I believe that my most active discussion was called "How many responses do you give per day?". It received somewhere near 63 responses. Just try searching for it in my profile, but, if you wish, I can post the link.

I do put effort into starting discussions. Usually I post a discussion when I want other's opinions about something I want to buy or a place I'd like to go. Its nice to have people's opinions here because they don't know me so their opinions are based on their own experiences.

So do I. There would be time that i have a good idea or topics, as i sit infront of the computer; and there are times too, when an idea would just pop up on my head while I was walking or doing something else..
But most of the time, I would end up staring at the monitor after an hour of thinking of a nice topic for mylot. So, my last option is just to go back to answering my co-lotters discussions and wait for a time that something nice topic would pop up again on my head.

Oh Yes When I started a discussion, I really think about the topic more than just thinking on how to respond a discussion. Starting a discusssion is like writing an unfinished blog where we expect it can be continued thru the response posted by friends...

You are right. An initiation of a discussion on a serious matter needs plenty of thoughts. It's an unfinished blog. You know for me life is such that I think a lot but the finale episode never comes. So, when I put it in mylot it (as you say)remains as an unfinished blog.

hi shiloh!
well, not really. i just start what is common to me. like what is going on in my life or what just happened around me or to other people closest to me and i want other people's opinion.
if i have nothing to start, i just reply to discussions already started by others, especially friends.
i don't really force myself to start something not significant because if it is just a common discussion, it might end up getting deleted by the mylot staff.
take care and God bless you! :-) keep posting!

Nope, no churning or overflowing here! I start very few discussions. I like responding to others. Sometimes something will pop up in my mind and I will start a discussion but not very often. When I do start one it will be about something that is going on in my life.

the idea for the discussion can come at any time of the day and then i start it whenever i visit mylot.
the idea for discussion is just instantaneous.
thinking about the topic to start was just at the beginning of my mylotiing, and from then the ideas came just automatically

I really do try to think of a discussion that will provoke an interesting response from a lot of people, so it takes me a bit of time. I also don't want to write something offensive just to get a response from people. My discussions are usually in the form of questions and often I keep them short on purpose to make them open ended and easy to read, so it might look like I haven't put much effort into writing the discussion even if I have.

hi there. i find myself leaning to your way. i dont cram my subject details much. people will find it hard to read...since there are thousands of words. sometimes, i skip answering too wordy discussions. happy mylotting.

I really think on things before doing. So I don't start discussions real often. I can't just post random things. Thats why I mostly reply to things on here then start some. To me this has become more of a forum than a money maker. I love forum talk. I make friends online and have a way to escape my life for a few minutes of talk on a forum.

Usually when I start a discussion it is because I have a question or an issue that I want help solving and I think the opinion of many is very helpfull. I think I have started a discussion or two just because I was bored, but it seems those ones never got responses.

Hello shiloh_222,
I don't start a lot of discussion because I have some hard time thinking of a good discussions to post here. When I feel that I need to start one, I thought of the topic and title and post it here. Sometimes I think I have a good discussion in mind but after I am online I forgot it or feel like not posting it. Another reason I don't post much is I need to read each post and put some comments. It's time consuming and mind bogging sometimes. I prefer now to just post to discussions than starting one.
Regards.

Frankly speaking, I don't like to start my own discussions normally and prefer to answer to the discussions started by others. This seems more interesting to me. However, if I have to start any discussion than I surely would think about the topic before start.

When I need to choose my words for the title, that means i'm not in the mood to start a discussion. so, i better don't.
same thing with the comments.
But I simply have days when everything comes easy, i feel like writing about all kind of things, I feel like being here.
Then things go much better ... so, I'm just waiting for those days ... he he
