Well I haven't really done what you describe, in fact I can only remember ever having fall out of bed once in my life, but that was a doozie.
It was in 1952 and my family was returning to Australia after 2 years in Britain on a sea-liner (the Strathaird as it happens) when we hit heavy weather criossing the Great Australian Bite. I was in the top bunk, my younger brother in the bottom, and I hit the floor in the middle of the night with a loud crash. Luckily I wasn't hurt.
The nearest I've come otherwise was the time a bed collapsed under me and my first wife back in 1968 while we were making the beast with two backs; that was fun lol. We just looked at each other as we lay in the ruins, laughed, and went back to what we had been doing.

That happened to me once. I was sleeping in the top bunk and rolled off it onto the floor. I was lucky that I landed on my brother and not on the floor since he was sleeping on the floor for some reason.
I have a very vague memory of it as I am not sure I woke up. My mother says I never woke but it could be where I get my fear of heights from.

Well my mother tells me that I fell out of bed one night when we had our caravan and never even woke up. My eldest brother was sleeping on the floor for some reason and I was in the top bunk. She says I rolled off the bunk and landed on my brother. Never woke up and they put me back to bed.
My brother was not impressed but he broke the fall nicely as I was never hurt. However, I have had a fear of heights ever since.

I do not like high buildings and will not work in them. I did try and conquer my fear by going abseiling once but I only partially managed it. Now I can handle buildings of a 2 or 3 floors and I do not look out the windows. I manage planes well and do look out the window but there is no ground to see so no awareness of height.
I cannot stand on the edge of anything without fear and I remember falling once and not being able to see the ground. I was hanging off a tree branch and my mother was too busy laughing at me to tell me that my feet were only a foot off the ground. I just thought she was being cruel.

Hello, chaolai.
Falling out of the bed must be pretty funny. Specially if you are sleeping in a double bed, like me. Falling from higher. It must also hurt a lot, but it must be fun. Shame it doesn't happen to me. At least I would be able to laugh and laugh about it. You know, sometimes I dream that I am falling. And I wake up jumping. Really, all scared, in the middle of the night, to find out that my falling was just a dream. I think it is great to dream like that. So much adrenalin, I fall from so high... But it is so fast that I can barely enjoy.
Falling of the bed may be dangerous. You might break some bone. You should start changing your dreams!
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

lol I know you cannot, I was just saying that for... no reason at all. What I meant is that you should not fall from bed anymore.

No, but my stepson falls off all the time. What I find weird though is that he just gets back up and gets in the bed. He doesnt cry or anything. Like he doesnt even wake up. Does he really sleep that hard?

This has happen to me before. I must say that I was much younger. I do not think I was dreaming I just did not realize that I was that close to the edge of the bed. This happend to my daughter about two weeks ago. I felt really bad for her because she hit the floor so hard.

It's happened to me a few times. The last time, I was dreaming I was running from something (can't remember from what), but I had reached a place where there was no where to go but down. I, of course jumped and next thing I know I was on the floor wondering what the heck I was doing. It was a very vivid dream, and I really jumped cause I was far from the bed. Needless to say, I couldn't stop laughing in the middle of the night.

Oh yes, I did! That was in college. I was sleeping in my friend’s room and I thought I was in my own bed… Her bed is kindly small and it is placed in middle of the room so when I moved… there is a big thump then my friend hurried to the room and saw me on the floor… hehehe… Good thing, their floor is carpeted, it really didn’t hurt that much! Cheeres!

No. I have been very close to the edge but have never actually fallen out. I have however fallen off a couch but I was only in a light sleep. The floors were tiles as well so it kind of hurt. I woke up and was quite surprised to see myself in that position.

i have never ever fallen off my bed while dreaming in my sleep but i have had instances where i was jolted out of my sleep in absolute horror just to realise that it was just a dream....there were many instances where i dreamt of going bungee jumping or para gliding or something like diving into the deep sea and then suddenly dreamt of falling and hitting a rock or something and thats when i feel like i ahve really been hit or something and that jolts me out of my sleep ..it is scary you know

When me and my brother were little, we had bunk beds. I was older so I slept in the top bunk. One night I had a nightmare that I was being chased and rolled right out of bed 5 feet to the floor. I ended up in the hospital with a dislocated shoulder and bruised ribs. Ouch! Mom put up a safety railing after that thank goodness. I can honestly say it wasn't real funny back then.. and not real funny now actually.. it was painful!

i used to fell from my bed especially when i was younger. i moved a lot when i go to sleep and i end up falling from the bed from time to time. so what i did is i have to put pillows all over me to prevent me to make a lot of movements.
