Well, it all started when this lady was selling dolls, and I responded to her ad. She emailed me and she said I will call you and deliver your dolls tomorrow. Ok, I waited here all day when I had things to do, and guess what, she never called and never emailed back. Now if she gets back in touch with me, can you guess what I will say? Other then life or death, there is no excuse to leave someone, a paying customer in this situation. Not only that but now, I have to go shopping again because those dolls were for the granchildren's Christmas. ugh! Has this ever happened to you?

I have, and it makes me very angry. My daughter is a good one for that. I have started telling her ok, but be sure to call before you drive over here to make sure I am home.

Yes, I have had this happen more than once. I find it extrememly rude when peopel do that. I have placed things on a site called freecycle for peopel to come pick up for free. They said they would but would never show. So, I ended getting huffy about and took the stuff to Goodwill. I have not offered anything for free since.

I am sorry but that is the height of rudeness my friend, if she wants to run a business you don't let your customers down, that's bad business practice! She won't get many more customers if that is the way she treats them, unless there was a valid reason but even then she should have warned you that she wasn't coming! I know I often cut my nose to spite my face but if someone did that to me I would refuse to buy off them! It's a pity because I am sure the dolls would have been wonderful gifts bringing happiness and delight to your grandchildren. It's not only you she's disapppointed! I hate it when you make plans and people let you down, but these things happen and people are after all human!

well, fortunately, that didn't happen yet to me. but, i would never wait for someone the whole day. sorry that happened to you. that lady should have contacted you or something, that's a pretty bad thing to do. just look at the bright side, shopping is fun, at least you'll have more to see for your grandkids other than dolls. advance merry christmas!

Yes!! I waited from 2PM on for my babysitter to come to my home and pick up my girls. She was going to take them someplace to get free Santa pictures...It is so irritating and frustrating. I am not a fan of people who can not stick to a schedule or when they say they will do something, they will..

For me waiting on people isn't that unusual. Every two weeks I wait on delivery of a new oxygen tank. Sometimes they show up, sometimes not. But I have to be home every tuesday just in case. I find it all rather annoying. It is possible your doll lady had an emergency or just wasn't able to make the appointment. If its something you really want, I'd give them a chance to explain.

Why would she do that? I hate when that happens. Maybe she found someone else to buy the dolls if she had a certain amount to sell, but like you said there's no excuse to leave someone hanging in the dust like that.
I can't remember being set up by a stranger like that but I can remember being set up by a relative. It wasn't cool but when I had no car and I needed somewhere to go, I called a relative to take me to the grocery store, and she said "OK I'll be there in an hour."
Ask me when that hour came.
Let's try NEVER
I had things to do but I was gonna take care of it when I got back home. One thing I had to do was cook, but I couldn't do that because I needed to go to the store first,
That day stinked.

i hate that. it happens to me all the time. i hate when people tell you they are going to do something or call you and like you didnt ask them they just say hey want to do this or whatever then they never call you or show up. i cant stand that. alot of people use to be like we are on the way to your house like we will be there in about 20 mins and they never show up. that is the stupidest thing if your not going over there or never wanted to why you would say that.

I am not sure if that has happened or not but I have waited and waited for repair people who say they will be here at a certain time and don't show up until late and don't call to let me know they are running late.
That is sad that she didn't even email you back to let you know that she couldn't make it or to set up another time so you would not be waiting.

Yes I have had this happen to me and I am like you I don't and didn't appreciate it. If I am a paying customer you should have the decency to at least let me know something, if an emergency had come up and you couldn't make it I would understand but to leave me hanging is just not acceptable.
