It seems that everyone is taking some kind of medication these days. Some take medication every day and others take it on occasion. It seems as we get older the more likely we will be taking some kind of medicine every day. Are you taking a daily medication and if so what is it for?

I'm 44 now and just the past year I have noticed that it's way harder to stay in shape and my skin...my skin!!! He, he. I am pretty lucky, don't have many wrinkles yet.

I was prescribed seraquel for insomnia, low dose, I started researching it and found out it's for schizophrenia! But I was prescribed 25 mg- which small doses help you sleep and it's non-narcotic, when for schizophrenias they prescribe like 300mg. Now I am finding out many, many people I know take it for insomnia too. So I guesss it's fairly common.

A lot of sleeping pills and even anxiety pills are also used to treat schizophrenia. I will occasionally take a clonazepan .5 mg and that is also used for people with seizures. Many pills are used to treat many different things.

The way 25mg makes me feel all drowsy, I couldn't imagine taking the full dose!

Does your doctor know about the headaches? Maybe you need a different blood pressure medication. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi! I know what you mean. It seems the older I get, the more things happen. Although I have been on daily medication (12 different ones) since 2004. I had congestive heart failure, had thyroid issues, high blood pressure, low potassium levels, low heart rate, lots of fluid to name a few! I also had to have a pacemaker/defibrillator implant. I turned 50 just last month..so I've been dealing with this for a while. Sometimes age doesn't have anything to do with it, but my bones are beginning to scream when I get out of bed!! I've written an article about getting older...actually a couple of them. I'll send you the link if you like. Have a great day! Merry Christmas!

It makes me wonder though how some people make it into their 90's without ever having to take any medication. I'd love to know their secret. Sure I'd love to read your article. Thanks!
