I am 5.9 . I think this a general height for an Asian but sometimes I wish I had been 6 foot.. I personally think taller people are a little lucky in many ways... First and formost if you carry a good height then you are attractive and so on...
But it is not that I am dissapointed with my current height nor anybody should be even though if the person is short but yes the thought of being taller cross my mind at times...
Also if think big things comes in small packages so shorter people shouldnt worry much...There is a better script for them...
Do you feel the same?

I'm 18 years old and 6'2, and actually I wouldn't mind a few more inchs I could slam dunk easyer. There are disadvantages for being tall as well people always call me skinny or make some comment about how tall I'v gotten since I was a kid and shorter people tend to ask me to do thing for them or reach things for them that I know they could get or do there self if they wanted. If you can't reach a cup stand on a chair instant foot taller. And just because I'm just because I'm tall people tend to think i'm skinny. I'm not skinny at all I weight 140 pounds bench 145-155 I have decent ab muscels aswell. I'm actually in pretty good shape people just don't realize it because I'm so tall and a little slinky I used to flip alot handsprings,no hander, full, back twisters, front flip, gainers, front hand springs, full front twisters, double fronts flips on a trampoline I can also to back flips and gains of the trampoline to the ground. I'm very athletic and fairly strong really fast I prefere finesse over broughn.

My cat just rated you. I wish I knew what it was. Kitty loves to walk on the keyboard.
At 6'2" and 140 you are skinny. You should be about 30 pounds more for your height. You will gain as you get older. We all do.

Actually, I don't wish to be taller. The opposite in fact, there are so many times I think I'd like to be a bit smaller! I'm almost 6 feet (1m82), and that's quite tall for a woman, even in Europe. I usually am the tallest girl in the group (tallest of my volleyballteam, tallest in class, tallest in choir,...) and sometimes even tallest overall, taller than all the guys too. And believe me, that's not fun. Some stupid example: it looks ridiculous on pictures, 4 girls and one of them is a head taller than the others...It's always the thing people remember, the first impression. My friends recall that the first thing they thought of me was 'wow she's tall'.Okay, it might be better than not being noticed at all, but still I don't like it.
Another problem are guys: some are downright frightened of taller girls, I've had several times a guy didn't want to dance with me because I was taller, it also is a ridiculous sight if, in a relationship, the girl is taller than the guy.
Ah well, everybody in my family is tall, so at least there I feel okay and not exceptionally tall, and it does come in handy for volleyball as well!

You are lucky I am 5 "6 ' and I think I may have exaggerated slightly 5 '5.5. inches is more like it. So I think you are pretty tall. I think we have to learn to accept the way we are and no matter what there is someone who is wore than us and wish they had what we have. Imagine how many persons out there wish they had leg short ones, tall ones ,fat ones ,skinny one .That is what I do whenever I feel inadequate, think about persons in worse situations and it always clears up my view.
Don’t get me wrong I have moments when I have an inferiority complex but then that are what I do.
All the best and for what its worth you are not that short

Yes, I wish I can be a litter taller than what I am now, which is little taller than the general height, not too high. Why? First, as you said, a good height can bring you more opporunities and luck in society, espically in jobs. Second, the taller I am, the better is the proportion of the upper part and the lower part of the body. Third, if too high, it will be difficult to buy clothes and shoes, and it will add the burden of heart. Well, it is impossible for me to grow up again. Just a thought!

I am a girl from India (and gals don't tell their ages ......hehehe) Iam 161.564 cms tall. I am not very happy with my height as when I look at taller gals I think their figures look better, as well as it suits their personality much better, I am soon gonna become a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary too. For the reason I should be a bit taller.
But i am contented with my present height.
For a really funny but rationale reason...........I have seen many boys, who are near about my height, or a bit taller ...............and if those taller girls are standing by their side they automatically move away from there ......while in my cases it's not so.......whereas my height is still acceptable for tall guys

I would like to be just a bit taller. Just a few inches or so at least. I think if I were a bit taller, I'd look better and I'd have a better time finding clothes. I'm about 5'3 or so and it seems to be the average height for women around me so I'm not that short or anything it's just annoying not being able to reach things and not being able to find clothing that fits me.

I'm a girl and I'm 5'4 and I don't mind being that tall. I never wished I was taller in fact sometimes I did wish when I was younger that I was shorter. I seemed to be taller then everyone in my class for the longest time. I'm cool with it now. Hubby is 6'1 so it works out great.

O no, No need of being too much tall. It does not seem good. If you want to make you an attractive personality, then you should modify your character. Your way of talking and your work could be appreciated by the people. Height is not only factor to look attractive. There are much many more factors to look one magnetic personality. There are many people with little height they are famous in their field. You should learn some thing from those and forget to become high enough.

I am an Asian and I am 5'4" but I normally wear high heels for my work which gives me an additional height or two. I'm already contented with my height since I am skinny and too much height will make me look lanky. While there are advantages for being tall, there are also disadvantages too. I am dealing with children and I have to stoop low when talking to them. Also, chairs are designed for smaller kids and since I am tall, I always have to stay at the back when we are forming a lane since our rule is always find your height. I think you standing 5'9" is not bad after all since Asian are generally short unlike the Caucasians.

There was a time when I wished I was taller, as most in my family are 6' or taller, though I am almost 5'11. Now, I suppose I really don't mind.

I absolutely wish that I'm taller than my 5'4 1/2. Im a bit taller than the average Filipina but I really want to be 5'7. I think that with the right personality and charisma, its easier to attract attention or be more effective in dealing with people. Just my opinion :P

hello joystick!
i am a petite one. and yes, i deeply wished before, when i was a little younger than i am now (he he).. that things would entirely be different for me if i am taller! there are so many what ifs, but then now that i am a little older and i should say, more mature person, i come to full acceptance of who and what i am. which leads me to be contented with me as the whole package. so for now, i am already contented and satisfied with my height. =)

I am 5'6" and have always been happy with my height. I have never thought about being taller and don't really care one way or another. I think the height issue is different with men. I think they like to be taller more than women do. I had a best friend in high school who was 5'11", and she hated it. I think it was part of the reason that she was so quiet but she was very smart. When I was younger I was always taller than the others in my classes but most of them caught up with me. I was 5'4" when I was in the 6th grade, about 11-12 years old.

I always wanted to be taller, but I just wasn't born that way. I am only five feet one inch tall. So, I am pretty short. There are some days that I am happy with my height and some days that I am not. It all depends on how I am feeling that day.

I wish I were taller. Not to be cocky and full of myself, but I'm the size of a model 105 pounds.. except only 5'4! If I were taller I think it would motivate me to try modeling of some sort. So I guess I'd wish to be taller, but I'm very content with the height I am right now.

i also had the same feeling,.. my brother is 6 feet high,.. and i'm only 5,4,.. so i was so worried,.. i was always thinking, when i get close to somebody that looks as the same hight as me, that i'm little bit taller than him,.. may be even if its not true,..
but gradually this feeling of becoming taller went off,..
now don't think it any more,.. we are not equale and that makes the difference!!!
