Yeah, zigzag, I was always somewhat suspicious of that whole thing about the unicorns having young ladies on their laps. Now a centaur, that is a whole different matter. I think a spear-throwing centaur and a fire-breathing dragon could get along just fine.

Hahahaha! I was going to say unicorns are for pansies, but I like the way you put it much better! I am trying to be less abrasive, but it is very unfamiliar ground to me, and I couldn't think of a nice word for pansy, so I just left it out altogether.

At first, I was going to take note as to the choices and how it is gender-related, drannhh and ziggy. My hypothesis was that most women would go with the unicorn and the men would go for the dragon.
Saying that, I, of course, had a feeling that you both would be the exceptions.
Plus, drannhh, you do have a good point there with dreamers and "actors".

I would rather be a magical flying unicorn. Unicorn just fascinates me and I have had my fantasies riding on them, as a child.

You would rather be a unicorn than just riding the magical one?
I don't know if I had fantasized being on a unicorn but I have had fantasized getting on My Little Pony.

Well, you do have a valid personal reason there, riyasam. If you can't take the heat... then get out of the kitchen sort-of, in this case, don't ride a fire-spitting dragon.

I would definitely wish to ride the Fire-Spitting Flying Dragon SaintAnne! For a few reasons actually..... Being on the back of a fire-spitting dragon means that I would be able to cook me some snacks along the way; and also means that I would be able to use his fire to see at night! The issue I have with the Unicorn is that knowing my luck, whenever the Unicorn had to stop suddenly, I would slide forward straight into its horn and damage myself in places that would be very uncomfortable!

Sigh. Don't you know anything about Fire-Spitting Flying Dragons SaintAnne?? Obviously not. They are trained to only spit fire when they feel the pressure of their Master's presence on their back. The second that pressure is not felt, they immediately cease their fire functions and blow smoke rings only. These smoke rings also help us to find them if we ever get separated.....

OMG, I can't believe you got rid of that beautiful chameleon's tail avatar!!!! I loved that!!!!!
And what do you mean 'a lot of things make sense' now that you know I was born in the year of the dragon??? What year were you born in?

Hey, you changed your avatar. A KISSing Panda, huh?
Well, what if the dragon had to stop suddenly and you would slide forward way very close to where the fire comes out, James? Would you rather be uncomfortable or burnt in those areas?

Are all unicorns white? LOL.
I've never even thought about the horn being dangerous. I guess a lot of people think that unicorns are meek and dainty but they have those horns to stab and pierce others as well.
This is all imaginary so in that imaginary world, no, I don't really have a problem with heights.
Thanks, Shiloh.

I prefer the magical flying unicorn because I do not want to be singed with the fire while I take the U turns with extra enthusiasm. And I prefer the lovely back of a unicorn than that of the I don't know what of a Dragon. And The flying unicorn seems to be more beautiful to me.

I assume dragons have scale-y backs? I dunno, but maybe you can put the most comfortable cushion pillow over it. Well, I am happy to have been told your choice, balasri. Thank you.

I would ride the fire-spitting flying dragon and attack all the criminals and evil gangsters and burn all the negative force of this world. The world would be then a peaceful place where Magical flying unicorns could also exist without any fear of coming to any harm. Then all the fun parks will have unicorn roller coaster flying rides and in every street a pet unicorn for all the children to ride on.

Well, since I was born in the year of the Dragon I would definitely ride a fire-spitting flying dragon. I'm not into unicorns at all... not that I would have my dragon burn them to a crisp or anything, hehehe.

the whole Goblet of Fire movie left an impression on me that dragons are quite hard to control.
And I think unicorns are beautiful and feminine.hehehe

i just thought I'd take a ride on a unicorn wearing a whimsical gown and wearing that same gown for a dragon ride wont be cool. the dragon scales will rip my gown into pieces.hahaha

Hi there Anne. By the way a flying unicorn is called a Pegasus . Anyway this is quite a choice to face as i would love to try them both. I think the Dragon would be a bit more special to try out but if i could i would want them both ^_^.

It is hypothetical, elitess and you can only ride ONE. I didn't know about the existing man-made rides. But yes, I know the difference between a unicorn and pegasus.
So as the prince charming of your Disney Princess, elitess, which one would you ride to swoop her off into the sunset of happy ever after?

Well SaintAnne! I of course would choose the Magical Flying
Unicorn, of course! I have always had a "thing" for Unicorns!
Hasn't everbody? My home is adorned with them! I don't know
why, I just love them! I would love to have the pleasure to
board and take flight on their glorious wings! They are such
magnificant creatures! So graceful and pretty and white!
I don't know what the secrets that they carry are, but I do
know that they have carried them for many years! It must be
about their magical powers! So, I shall find out when I take
my first flight! So, I must get ready so I can prepare for
my Magical ride.... I will tell you all about it when I return...
Until then, Opal is off on her quest of the Unicorn!

I have a clue as to some of the secrets they carry, Opal. They're your secrets that the unicorn adornments at your house have witnessed!

Ok, as long as nothing malevolent is after me, I would take the magical flying unicorn. Why? Because I like magical ponies and unicorns and winged horses! Very much! LOL! So as a combination of all three, the magical flying unicorn takes the cake! And since it is magical, then I would assume that it would have some sort of power that would work just as well as the fire from the fire-spitting dragon. So, even if there was something after me I'd still pic the magical flying unicorn! LOL!

Is that what they say about unicorns, melodake? That something is after you when you're on one? I did not know that. Well, there's a few of you so far who are venturing it with the magical unicorn!
Thanks for choosing!

LOL. You always think about the Other, glords. What if you were riding your dragon and you pass a unicorn and then the dragon just unintentionally took a breath of fire and poof! goes the unicorn? Just playing with you.
And Scoop, stop stalking glords.

I guess it would have to be the flying unicorn (also known as unipeg), because I have been in love with unicorns, pegasi and unipegs ever since I was a little girl and because I am still a fond collector of my little ponies.
Allthough the dragon sounds alluring as I love the books of Harry Potter a lot as well and the dragon sorta works better in an exciting story like the tales of Harry Potter. But still, the unipeg would be my first choice .

I have never heard of the term unipeg and I'm glad to have learned it from you, cyberfluf. Good luck with your collection and who knows, maybe when Rowling changes her mind and does another Harry Potter book, she'll include the unipegs. Thanks for responding.

I'd rather ride the unicorn. It's safer and unicorns are beautiful creatures. Not to mention, unicorns can make you immortal in some myths. I understand you'd have to kill the creature and that's not something I'd want to do but I think unicorns are just a lot more useful in dragons but I know others have their opinions on the matter and that's fine.

You outstandingly justified your opinion, highflyingangel. I don't think I could do the killing part as well but sometimes we do not know what we would do when immortality is just within reach. Happy New Year highflyingangel. Hope no more pesky roommates for you and your partner!!!

I would have to say a flying dragon. Even though a flying unicorn would be beautiful I'd have to say I'd be embarrassed to ride on it. It seems amazingly girly to me and I would refuse to ride on it. The dragon I would have no problem with. They are amazing beasts and not girly at all.

i would ride the magical flying unicorn. for one, "magical" sounds much more appealing than "fire-spitting" to me. more mysterious, and seems capable of more things, maybe including fire-spitting, although it's hard to reconcile the image of a unicorn with fire-spitting. hehe. i'd rather not have it spit fire even if it could, though. i don't really like burning things. i'd prefer a more relaxed, perhaps meditative, ride. =)
i enjoyed thinking about this discussion, thanks!

A fire-spitting unicorn... now that would come as a surprise to those who would try to harm one.
Thanks again, magicslate. Have a relaxing and zen time.
