Are you ready for adult life?

I am going to graduate college in May 2009. There will be a big jump in terms of responsibility, managing my job, etc. From talking with my peers, it seems a lot of young people are not quite ready to be pushed into the "real world." What do you think? Are you ready? Or were you ready when you were younger? My new blog is all about this stuff too, so please check it out and feel free to comment :) http://ready-set-life.blogspot.com

It's pretty hard to start a "real life". We all just wait for this moment, to show that we "can make it " on our own. When the actual moment comes, we're a lttle bit scared. But you know what?We still have our family, the'll help as much as they can (and we let them). A job can always come in handy - that's the real world. Just instead of spending the money to buy more cloths, or go to movies,we have to think about renting money, utilities, food and so on. We have to become more responsible. It's not easy, but that's the fun.We take the challenge and transform it into success.

I am 24 and I think that I have accepted the fact that I am an adult. I have my own place, actually I have had my own place since I was 17. I pay my own bills, and though I still make mistakes once in a while Ill chalk that up to the learning process.

well im now 24 turning 25 next year. at first i didnt accepted the fact that im adult now. it was just i felt that i was only a teenager. but as the days go on i realized that u will not turned the days that past. it was just i need to face the reality that i have lots of responsibility not only in myself but also to the people around me like my parents, and my friends. i need to grow and be matured enough and be a model to those teenager going to adult that they need to accept the fact the were facing the same situation and cycle and that is changing of age.

Actually,i don't think i am ready well for adult life, i don't fear the responsibility,or the sociey. i just can not adapt myself to the situation that i am a adult. he he ~~~ for me ,as a adult is not very good ,because i often be told that there are some things that i should not do ,those are for children. i should do something that for a adult. growing up is not a good thing, but i have no choice ,so i know i should to enjoy the adult life , and i will....

Well ready or not, its inevitable so you just have to prepare your self for it. I wasn’t quite ready and I am sure there will be times when you wish you were young again but the best way to handle it is to jump in head on. Certain privileges that you now have will be gone ,you might not be able to party or see your friends as much. You will now have to make special time for many of these things. Your priorities will change and so may your friends. You may find yourself moving in a new social circle and with that come new responsibilities with regards to the choices you will make. All in all it could be an interesting time or a tumultuous time depending on how you handle it. And oh very important, money management. you may find handling your salary check a little different from your allowance. You will have to ensure that your budget so that bills are paid before entertainment etc. Now there is no running back to mommy for extra because you spent recklessly. Enjoy it though my friend, interesting times are ahead.
