prayer for our love ones

Do you pray only when you are desperate? Do you pray that someone who has hurt you will get retribution form God on this world or in the hereafter? Do you practise that 'to err is human but to forgive is divine'. Are you in the group that can forgive but cannot forget?

I pray almost constantly throughout my day. I never ever pray for retribution toward someone that has hurt me. I feel that is wrong...and the Bible says it is wrong. I do believe in forgiveness, even though it can be really hard sometimes. I pray that I will be able to forgive, until finally I am able to do so. And, yes, while I do forgive, I never forget completely what someone has done to me.
