Online Games and Sore Losers

I've played online games for the PS2 and Xbox 360. On the ps2 their were certain games such as wrestling where you could just basicly just disconnect when you were probably winning and the match basicly ended up being worthless. One person for example on Smackdown vs. Raw I remember seeing is they had 500 straight wins but 40% disconnect. Whats the use of playing against someone like this unless of course theres no one else online at the time. On xbox live however this is not a problem as if you quit or disconnect you win the match. More than anything on Xbox Live is when I got a message sent to me the biggest majority of the time it was mean and full of vulgarity so I don't bother reading the messages anymore. Wrestling games are the worst about this stuff while the other games I have not had a problem with this. Online mainly for me is just a fun way to relax and enjoy although I like to win I really don't care too much about winning or losing as you win some and lose some. Anyway this my experience as an online gamer.

I've just played online recently. It was Call of Duty 4 for the PS3, and the experience was sweet. I am pretty bored playing in the single player campaign, so I decided to pop in the cable and play online. It was intense, and even though I am not winning most of the time, I owned a few heads, so it's ok. One pop of a shotgun and BOOM! Happiness. Heehee.
Anyways, majority of the owners of x360 are trashy kids thinking they are cool, so you probably will get most of those messages. And the game is wrestling, so you should expect those. I'm not summing it up, but yeah most of those who wants X360 are kids, because they love their shooters and wrestling and other violent games, so I presume that they are mostly kids.

Yeah. Kind of like 50/50, but do take note that I said "wants" so the statement I said about owners of x360 is just an assuming statement. I'm not really sure though. But I agree, most online games have trash talking. Even those childish-looking MMORPGs have them sick people effing each other. It's a very unpredictable world, being online. Even mylot have occasional trash talkers, heehee. But most of them are kicked out soon enough, so no harm.
As for gaming, I want to get a Wii and a 360 mainly for the exclusives. And I'm going for the RPGs because I'm not really a shooter or party games fan. But for now I think I'll just rot up in a corner waiting for a good Console RPG for the PS3. Come April, I'm hoping for White Knight Chronicles.

Ya know its really 50/50.
I mean I know more people my age, I'm 27, or older that owen 360's and know younger kids that owen he PS3 rather then the 360.
I'd love to get my hands on a PS3 for a few reasons and none of them are for the PS3 games since most of the games out I can get for the 360.
I think you will find "trashy kids" on any sot of online game.

And hey I'm not being a fanboy here man. I stated that because 360 sales are much better in the US, and because the topic of discussion above is a 360 system. I stated my PS3 just to imply that it was my first experience at console online play. I'm in no way implying that the PS3 system is a much better system when it comes online, just to clear things up.

You are totally right its very annoying when your opponent quits.. I play Online WarCraft3 Defense of the Ancient (DOTA). When you kill them first your opponent will quit.. even if the game's objective is to trash his throne, the first instance that they would die, they would quit.. not only did they annoy me, they just wasted my time..

I like to play the online rpgs, and certain browser games, because even if there are sore losers out there, you don't always have to deal with them, you can just do your own thing, and they end up getting themselves banned on their own.
I also play certain online java games, like the yahoo games pool, and a few others. I have sometimes had issues with people, but for the most part in those places, people are just there for a good time to meet and have some fun times gaming.

hey elmiko, i know what you mean. i play my 360 all the time live. i don't like the sore losers too. but what i can't stand are the kids on there with a potty mouth and using the n word. that makes me mad the most. i play Saints Row 2 online alot. if you play that too send me your gamertag so i can add you. happy posting!

That's why I really stopped playing online on the PS2 and 360.
I loath the players that disconnect or use there CAW's that are maxed out.
I really loath playing games like Saints Row where these little kids (ok thay all might not be little) sit there and drop the the N bomb and what not.
I'm still online on the 360 to download stuff but I dont play much online unless I know the person.

Yeah, I hear that. I was playing Smackdown vs. Raw '09 yesterday and two different people disconnected on me once I gained the advantage. They probably figured I'd beat them anyway, but they still had a lot left on their health bar. I don't know if they think they can actually get a perfect record, but good luck with that! You get points for just participating in a match, even if you lose. My record is far from perfect. It's like 6-26. I think people just like screwing with me.

well to be honest my online gaming as been pretty good. i get the odd person moaning because they get killed on games but thats expected some people just cant take losing. i like playing online games cause its fun and is something to do. if you dont want bad messages be nice or something. i have not had one bad message on xbox live. also if you have a bad message report them.
