What amazes me is the amount of people who fall for these types of emails. Is it just me or do we all not know that the only time you should use your password is if you are on the exact website and not via email?

Improper use of capitalization in some areas, forgetting to put spaces after commas and some fullstops, the warnings message is part of one of the bodies (not a new line so that it grabs more attention), yep, looks about fake. The email account, as it is, sort of tells you that. Never fall for those scams. If Gmail really was closing accounts, there would be some sort of article about it on the internet at least. Nice of you to let others know, though.

As I always say, check the headers, put it on show all headings. It will tell if it is a fake. It is amazing that there are some people who will actually believe it is real. It sounds like the same email one gets from Yahoo (supposedly) that the world is coming to an end and we need to verify all yahoo accounts, so please send in your password and your information on this link . (Instead of going to the Yahoo page and checking it out for yourself.

That is so obviously someone who doesn't speak good English and a hoax! I guess that non-English speakers would fall for it as well as some gullible people. I'll have to warn my mother, she has gmail and is very naive with things like that. Thanks for the alert!

Hi there ronaldinu and thanks for sharing. Actually i think you have to be quite a newbie in the internet to fall for this trick as it is well known that both gmail and yahoo would never close their service knowing the ever growing earnings they are getting for this service.
