The Most Boring Sport To Watch is...WUT?

There are several sports that I consider boring and I could honestly say they could be used as sleeping medication if you use'em right.
Hey miracle! what is the right way to use a boring sport as sleeping medicine?
Oh that's easy, "WATCH IT."
One sport that I've used as my sleeping pill when I had insomnia and couldn't fall asleep is "GOLF."
What do you think is the most boring sport to watch? and WHY that one?

hmm...either fishing or nascar...i mean it is fun to race if your in the car, but outside fo it? who wants to watch a car go around a track all day

The most boring sport to watch would be GOLF!! I'm just like you!! Golf is one of the most boring sport ever! I don't even know why it is called a sport, because first of all, it's not exciting at all, neither is it as challenging as the other sports, and most sports, you will see people really competitive, but golfers are just like reserved, and like you cannot clap your hands loud or just scream when your favorite player gets a ball in.
The other would be cricket.. But golf is the worst!! If you watched Happy Gilmore, if golf had Adam Sandler in it, then it would not be as boring as it is already!

I totally agree, definitely golf and after that i have to go with tennis.
All you do is watch the ball, how exiting could that be.

Thank you missybear! You're right about tennis, I was hoping someone would mention that one. I would like to play tennis myself because it reminds me of volleyball. Although I wouldn't watch volleyball, I would play it anyday because it's fun to play.
Now why would I want to watch it?.. That's silly!

Believe it or not, golf was what instantly popped into my mind when I saw the question. I've never understood the enjoyment of standing there watching someone knock a little ball (hopefully) into a hole. Not that I'll knock anyone who does, but I just don't understand it. It would bore me to tears if I had to watch it.
Then again, most sports I would rather do than watch anyway, so yeah.

I agree with you.What a boring thing to want to do,to hit a ball round a course and try to get it into that tiny hole and all the money it costs as well and all that snobbery .Yes I think there must be something wrong with golf players as I just cannot see anything interesting at all.

Curling is played by two teams of four players each on a rectangular sheet of carefully prepared ice. Teams take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones down the ice towards the target (called the house). Two sweepers with brooms accompany each rock and use timing, equipment and their best judgment, along with direction from their teammates, to help direct the stones to their resting place in the house.
So basically a group of idiots throwing/pushing (too heavy to really lift and throw) rocks down the ice to a target.

Oh, I can name plenty. My husband is a sports fanatic, he watches them all.
I can always get a good snooze when he is watching, golf, just like you, it is a good sleeping pill.
Billiards or pool, which ever one it is, very boring, bowling, I like to bowl, but I would rather be an active participant than to watch it. I can always get a good nap in when baseball is on. I only like to watch the world series.
Now, I can deal with football, as long as the Giants are playing, other than them, I am not interested.

Hey miracle! I wouldn't even allow golf on in my house! I
totally hate it! It wouldn't allow me to sleep because I refuse
to even hear it! I kind of like some sports and if I don't
like it they would annoy me to much to allow me to sleep! Am
I making any sense? I love football, basketball and baseball!
I have my favorite NY teams, of course! When it's playoff
time, I'm wide awake and cheering my teams on! I couldn't
use sports to ever put me to sleep! Sorry! Wouldn't happen!
I wish it would because then I would have found a cure for
me insomnia!

I find most sports boring up to a point. It is usually give me the ball, no you give me the ball, no you give me the ball back and forth. Obviously you have never played golf, it is actually quite interesting being outside in the early morning getting some fresh air into your lungs, and not a herd of no-neck steroid-bloated jocks running after you trying to injure you for life.
The worst for me is the European type football. The field is way too big and nobody ever scores, sort of the opposite of basketball where the court is too small and they seem to score hundreds of points. I agree with the squeek sqeek score squeek squeek score description. The football field makes football the opposite of basketball, no wonder the fans always riot, there is nothing to do. What they should do is make the football field half size so it does not take a half hour to get from one end of the field to the other and make the basketball court twice the size. Here are typical football scores: 0-0 0-0 0-0 0-1 1-0 1-0

No I never played golf before I seen it on my TV set many times enough to say that it to sleep everytime. It's actually a good thing because some times I need help getting to sleep.

I would have to agree golf is the most boring sport to watch, only because i don;t play it and im really not that into it.
Altho, I will say.. Watched golf at my brothers a few weeks back in HD on his 50" lcd and it was not so bad!
nothing like nhl hockey in hd tho.

Most boring I would have to say baseball; games last forever. Fun to play though. Not a big fan of Nascar and golf either xD

I am with you. Golf would be at the top of my list too. But I am also of the opinion that it is better to be AT as sporting event to watch it. One of my favorites is baseball. But I still like it better being at a game than watching it on tv. I find I easily lose interest that way.

While golf is a boring sport to watch, for me its boxing..lol. My husband loves to watch it, and anytime its on, he'll watch it, which means I have to too, but it always puts me to sleep, I'm not kidding, everytime boxing is on, I will fall asleep sitting in the chair. I don't know why, most people would probably think boxing isn't boring, but for me it is...lol. We've tried watching a different channel while the commercials come on, but that don't work, its too much trouble switching back and forth, I would rather just take a nap..lol.

I'd have to agree with you on this one. Golf to me is the most boring sport out there. During the summer months if I want to fall asleep I can turn on a golf turnament. Sure enough I'm asleep in no time. To me its about as interesting as watching the grass grow. LOL
