I Got to Be in the Christmas Parade!!!!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year so when I got asked to be in the Christmas parade I was tickled pink!! The hospital I work for had a float and I got to sit in the rocking chair in the float and throw candy to the kiddies!! Our theme was "Home for the Holidays" and we had a fireplace with stockings, a tree with presents all around it, a woman sitting in a rocking chair reading to her granddaughter and then me and another girl holding a dog. It was freezing cold...well in the 30's...but I didn't care. I wore layers of clothes and had the time of my life!!!
Have any of you been in a parade for anything? Did you like it??? I had so much fun and would love to do it again next year!!!

I've never been in a parade,but always wanted to be. It sounds like you had such a great time. My daughter was in a Christmas parade one year. I was so proud. I think I had more fun than she did, lol. I hope you'll get the chance to do it again next year as well. What fun!!!

Sounds like you had fun, even tho it was cold. We had our Christmas parade here last thursday, I was going to go but it was cold that night, and I didn't feel like standing out there freezing. I've been in a few parades before, the church I used to go to used to enter floats in the parades all the time, I had fun, and I miss doing it. I don't think they do it anymore, because there are alot of older folks that go there now, and they don't get out too much..ha.

Aoa!! that's cool!! I have never been into a Christmas parade. I have never seen there is a Christmas parade in my country when I was still there? And now that I ma here in this state, I did not notice that there is a Christmas parade here. I want to see one even if it is cold hahaha.. I just want to see how it looks like, Well, I have seen lots of parades of different kinds when i was in my country but never a Christmas parade. U can imagine the Santa and the rendeer in that parade hahaha.

I am so glad you had so much fun and will hopefully be participating again next year. Earlier this year my eldest son was chosen to be a paige boy for the old English Fayre. The day after the Fayre he and the Old English Fayre Queen and attendants did a church parade through our town and I was so proud of him. Just last weekend we all (me and my 3 kids) did a lamp parade through the town with all the other kids from the schools that had made lamps to go and switch on our Christmas lights. It rained but we still enjoyed ourselves!
