I have my computer in my livingroom. I would like to move it to my bedroom, but I don't have a phone jack in that room of the house. Plus with it being in my livingroom is makes it a little easier to keep an eye on the children when I'm on the internet and it lets me keep an eye on my 7 year old daughter if she gets on the internet too. What room in your home is your computer in?

My computer is in a part of my living room, but it is in an area of its own. I am ale to see what the kids are up to and what they are watching on t.v., and I can easily hear the front door if someone knocks. The area I have it in is seperated by the couch, so it is a some-what defined office area.

Mine along with my husbands/kids computer is in the office room. We both have our own computers and desks. I have my own while my husband shares with the kids. He got me mine cause I do so much on it and do things like surveys and auctions to get extra money.
It is nice too as it is right off the living room so it isnt hard to check on kids If I happen to be out in another room. It used to be in the living room but once we added on another room so that we would have a bigger bedroom we made our old bedroom into an office for me. I have a sweetie!

Hi Singlesmommy, I have mine in my living room too but at some stage would like to move but also due to phone points and plug points being where they are I can't at present, however I do intend to get a laptop at some stage will will allow more flexibiliy as sometimes once my son is in bed to save on heating I could just go up to my bedroom and get warm under he covers and use laptop as I have wi-fi already. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hello there. Our computer is located in our living room. We were thinking of moving it to our bedroom, but none of the rooms upstairs has a phone jack. It would also be inconvenient to the one sleeping in our room if we use it during the night.

Well, I can't say I always have it in the living room, but sometimes I move my laptop to somewhere else because my grandparents might be watching TV and I don't wanna bother them because I wanna watch something on my laptop, and sometimes my earphones are already in use.

We have four computers in our home. I have a Macintosh computer in our office space we just recently completed, along with my husband's laptop he uses for work. My oldest son, who is 18, just got a laptop to use for college in August. There is no internet hooked to it yet. And my two younger children got a desktop that is in the living room. This allows me to watch not only them but their friends while on the computer. It isn't hooked to internet yet but soon will be and I want to know they understand they are being watched while online.

the computer is in my parents bedroom...though there wasnt much space in their bedroom to keep the computer ...they insisted on keeping it there as they knew very well that if the computer would have been in my room i would have sat up late hogging the internet all night..... so atleast when its in their room tehy can tell me to log off when they turn into their beds.....

I always seem to clutter up my computer desk, so don't feel bad about needing to clean out your desk drawers. It would be nice to have a small office though. Thanks for the comment. Happy MyLotting!

We have our computers in the computer room. It used to be one of our son's bedrooms, and the other bedroom is now the guestroom. Our sons are all grown and moved out, and what happened was when one of the sons first moved, the other son moved into his room, and left the bedroom for the computers. Sounds very confusing, because there was a lot of grading up and replacing, until now my husband has his computer and I have mine.

Oh, the last house I lived in before I moved into the one I'm in now was a split level house. I hated it when I had my computer in the basement, I was always having to run up and down the stairs so I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. Happy MyLotting!

my computer is in my bed room... I couldn't have it anywhere else either.
it would really bug me to have it out in the living room or something.
i can't stand people being able to see what i'm doing lol even though i'm not doing stuff i shouldn't be... i just don't like someone standing over me and watching..
i also just feel more comfortable in my room and i'm almost 21 so lol i'm parents don't need to keep an eye on what i'm doing..

I can understand about not wanting anyone looking over your shoulder. I'm single so the only people I normally have to worry about is my children and I never do anything that they shouldn't see, so it's all good. Thanks for commenting!

i have a computer room, it's a cute little room specifically for a computer. It's off my dining room u walk through this little hallway and there it is, it's all by itself, it's not big enough to be a room, it's more like a storage area but with internet n phone hook ups.

I have my computer in my room. I need some privacy. I'm all alone in my room and it's pretty much convenient to have my computer just right beside my bed. I stay up late at night and this way i check my downloads if they're done just by opening my eyes whenever i'm laying on my bed. My earphones have pretty long cord so i can listen to music or watch films at the comfort of my bed. Plus i don't have to worry about people peeking on my monitor.

My computer is in my living room. It won't fit anywhere else in this tiny apartment. I hope to move next year. This is the only computer I have. It is kind of old. I wish I could afford to get a new one, well maybe someday.
