I write articles for income. I like to write fantasy fiction. I have been published on the internet. I am definitely an emotional writer. Although, I don't write much poetry.

sounds nice. Do write alot, or just a little. Poetry is really not that hard, sometimes it is depending on what you are trying to write about.

I write because I love language and words. As a very young child I loved being read to and as I got older I loved reading myself. For me it was also one of the ways that I was most comfortable expressing myself. I think of myself as being a very visual person but those images do not translate themselves into lines in pictures on a page. I do much better in the language department.
Originally, I started reading for personal reasons and as an emotional release. Aidid mostly creative rating at the time including poetry, short stories, and some fiction.
Today I am part of a website where writers can submit articles and earn a share of the revenue generated from those articles. They have also implemented at a peer review system as well. One of the main differences between them and Mylot, is that their rating systems are anonymous.
This is the first time that I have ever participated in a discussion board or "pay per post" sites.
I would be very interested in networking with other writers who would be interested in constructive criticism and feedback of their writing. If you're interested you may request me as a friend, or contact me via the e-mail link here Mylot.
Good luck!

Like you I write a little bit of everything. I've published articles and poetry in magazines and on the internet. I am currently working on two novels...one is in the editing stage. My real love is writing historical romance, but I am also working on an inspirational/devotional book as well. I'd love to check out your writing on the internet. Also, if you'd like to see mine, just let me know. It's always nice to get fresh opinions. Happy writing.

Sure why not. I like reading others work. You can find mine at poetry.com. Look up RayAnn Fugate or RayAnn Holbrook.

I write poems and short stories, and I plan on writing a novel, too. I have written a lot of poems. I finished some of them, but many of them still need a lot more work. I have two notebooks, in one of them I write down the poems that I've finished and in the other book I write the poems that I still need to work on. Some of them aren't really poems yet, just a few lines or ideas.

ahhh writing, such an exquisite subject to be pondering about, I create poetry. If anyone has the knowledge to direct me towards any sites regarding writing contests, I would most definitely be satisfied.

Have you tried out poetrt.com or triond.com. You can publish your poetry on both sites. Read poetry as well. I am on both sites. They are so many people on each site you can read there poetry. On triond it is free to join and submit your work. You are able to add and make friends, read everyones work and comment on each piece. You can even write about other stuff if you would like it is a writing of all variities.

I write about different things. I try and compose poems, and then later (much, much later) I´d try to catch a rhythm or melody for my poem. I write about my emotions in a notebook. But it´s not a diary. Well, it could be a diary, but more than just facts of what happened at a certain moment. It´s more about feelings, knowledge, questions. I write stories. Not short stories but a series of stories. Like a novel, but not really a novel since I don´t think it would pass as such. I don´t get anything published, I pretty much keep it to myself and maybe a few people (especially kids) who are keen on reading and who seem to enjoy my work.

Besides writing here on mylot, I write articles on ehow and I just join Associated Content yesterday. So I am branching out a little more. I would love to write a book someday. Maybe a kids book or a book on finances. I just enjoy expressing myself online. Have a nice mylot day.
