I still have mine... I don't really see a purpose in keeping it, but what are you supposed to do with it? I would feel guilty just giving it away and even worse by throwing it away. And who would want a used wedding dress? - Besides... i think I might have tore the bottom of it at my reception... can't recall for sure, but I remember getting stepped on alot that night! ;)

Hello Anne18
Well I didn't really have a proper wedding dress because my husband said I couldn't have one as we got married in his country. What I did get married in though I no longer have he said it made me look old - charming eh? Do you ever wear your dress?

Yes from my first wedding, wish someone would buy it from me. I don't want it anymore. Know anyone that's a size zero? I'm not that small anymore but I was back then.

No, I don't. I got married almost 14 years ago (will be 14 years come this February). My husband and I eloped. I wore a regular dress, light pink in color, that my mom bought for me a few years before I got married. Heck, I even wore it at my high school graduation. As I wore it on a few different occasions I didn't see the point in keeping it.

I still have my wedding dress. I had it preserved so it is in a box and i never see it.
I got married on the 29th of Dec. My attendents wore red and it was a nice Christmasy wedding. We were already on our honeymoon, honeymooning by the time New Years rolled around. Happy memories!

nope.. sadly i dont them.. because they were not mine..
for my wedding ceremony - my mom had borrowed a beautiful dress from my aunt..
i was still studying back then - i had wanted the ceremony to be a very simple, simple one, and since i didnt have the budget, and didnt allow my mom to spend too much money on the ceremony - i already prepared a very simple dress to wear for the ceremony. but my mom thought differently, and since we really didnt have that much time to prepare for it (it was during my college break) - my mom talked my aunt (who was quite rich + fashionable) into lending me one of her newest, nicest dress.. so, i end up wearing my aunt's dress for my overly simple wedding ceremony...
and the dress which i had prepared - i wore that for the wedding reception at my husband's family home...
.. and that dress - i still have.. but cant fit into it anymore...

I do still have my wedding dress! I was married 29 years ago, and it was a long white dress with swansdown trim. I daren't look in the bag, in case it's all fallen to pieces or been eaten by moths! It wouldn't even go over one leg now, though - and my daughters were not keen on wearing it at all (though my eldest daughter wore my veil).

I rented my dress, didn't have the money to buy it
my dad was dying of cancer at the time and there is no healthcare in my homeland
so most money had to go to his treatment and not much left for the wedding
hubby sent money to help and I had savings from work
it was beautiful long white dress
I don't like cinderella or victorian style so the one I got was a nice slim one with flower patterns it's very expensive to buy

I do still have my wedding dress, even though I am now very happily divorced. It's not a traditional wedding gown, but a nice cream coloured dress with a matching bolero jacket. I now use it as my "fat dress"... one I keep to try on now and then to see how much weight I've lost since then. Eventually I'll get rid of it. I'm sure someone out there could put it to better use. lol.

I was married 28 years ago (OMG - I'm THAT old????) and I Do still have my gown. It was handmade as a gift by a friend using a pattern and material I selected. Ivory satin, a plain gown with a scoop neck and long sleeves, and an ivory lace cape over the top. My aunt made a veil out of the leftover lace. I love that dress, even though I've been divorced for 19 years.
