Do You Remember To Turn On All Of Your Notifications?

What I am referring too, is your Friend notifications, etc. so that when a New discussion is started from a friend you will in turn receive an Email letting you know they have started one? Personally, I know I am always having to go in and double check from time to time making sure my notifications are turned on. And then just also find the time to go and check my Email and see what discussions my friends have started, and see if there are some I am interested in responding back too as well. When you have as many friends as I do, it is quite easy to also Fall behind, but I do try to keep up with a lot of them. So if you have not thought about it, go into your Friends area and see for yourself if they are turned on. This could be one of the Best ways to help increase your earnings, because when you respond back to some of your friends discussions, they might even take the time to go in and do the same for you. Wishing you all the Best. ~~TINA~~

Yeah, this is how I always respond to discussions. I am so far behind in responding to discussions, but I know they are there when I have a chance from time to time to respond to discussions. If I work hard enough, I may just make payout this month. But I will have to really work hard.

I only have one notification turned on - for the person who referred me to MyLot. There is no way I want notifications of everyone in my inbox. Even if I only had 5 or 10 friends, that would be too many emails. Besides, I don't trust any site with this feature. I learned not to...when another site had a serious glitch and none of the notifications were going out on what friends had posted. When the glitch was fixed, all the backed up messages went out - and I got over 6,000 emails in about a 2 hour period. I will never, ever, ever turn on notifications at another site after that experience. I'm perfectly capable of searching for things my friends have posted. And, thankfully, real friends don't expect you to comment on each and every item they post...especially when they know that I spend the majority of my time at my other haunt where I can earn far more.

No I don't have the notifications turned on for all my friends because if I did I would find it difficut to read them all. It would also not allow me time to respond to those discussions that actually appeal to me. So I choose which friends have the most discussions that I am msot likely to respond to. As I read through those emails I will elete any which do not interest me or maybe I know nothing about and so will not be responding to. Then I when I login to myLot I will check the "friends started" discssions and then if I have the time to to each one of my friends witht he notification "off" and check to see what discussions they have started. Yes I might miss some good discussions I know and I accept that is a risk of doing it the way I do. However I also know that there is no way I could ever make a quality response to each and every discussion my friends start. I agree that it is all too easy to fall behind with the responses but again I think we can only do so much as most of us only have a certain amount of time available. There are other calls on our time and attention so that myLot has to come after those things. It is all abour priorities.

Its always been my habit to turn on the e-mail notification as soon as I approve a friend request, so I don't have to go back and check. The majority of my activity comes from responding to my friends discussions, so that is most important to me, turning on that notification. I may not respond to all the discussions I get (with as many friends as I have, its impossible lol), but I do read them, and respond to the ones that interest me. This is the easiest mode for me, so I will always have my notifications turned on!

Sorry, but I don't have any of my notifications on. I respond to discussions because they interest me, not because that person is on my friend list. Those who don't like that are free to remove themselves from my list if they wish. I'm sure it might help my earnings, but really a few pennies a day for the amount of time I'm here doesn't make much difference to me.

Most of the time I do. I usually check about once every two weeks to make sure.

I have turned on most of my friends notifications. However as my list have increased I have stopped turning on all their notifications. I just browse their profile sometimes and answer to an interesting discussion.

I have some notifications on, but I have so many friends that it will be impossible to reply to all of them. And I have no idea if someone else has said something about them. I might have to turn on some more, but my internet connection with myLot is so slow that it it takes so long for them to load. I usually go to friends started and go through them to see if there is any I can answer in more than two lines.

I really should! It's a good idea. But, I lost access to my Yahoo email account where my notifications go, and don't get my notifications anymore. Thanks for the suggestion.

I actually don't turn on notifications because I don't like my inbox getting clogged up. What I do instead is pay attention to the "Discussions my friends started" sortie on my myLot homepage and also visit my friends' profile pages. This also keeps me from feeling like I've fallen behind because when I get busy I simply don't login to myLot. It works for me, but I can definitely see why notifications are great for other folks -- I used to be a person who would check my email constantly so I would probably have loved myLot notifications then had I been a member here!

You are definitely right. As soon as a friend has been added to my list, I've always seen to it that I've turned on all the notifications. It's a way to know whether a friend has started a new discussion. Turning notifications on helps makes responding very easy for you don't have to browse to a lot of discussions. Happy Holidays!!! HUGZ!

I do for the ones that are active still on here but some times it's hard for me to get to all of them but eventually I do for I have so many. I know for a while I was away from mylot and when I came back I noticed that lot of the friends on my list were no longer active and gone. But yes I do try for the one's that are still active.

You bet I remember! Whenever I get a new friend request and accept it, or whenever someone has accepted my friend request (there aren't that many out there who have not) I turn on their notification in my account, so I don't have to go back and turn them all on. They didn't have notifications till I had about 1,000 friends, and it took me FOREVER to get them all turned on!!!

I have some notifications on, but not all of them. Because some of my friends have really started discussions that need a lot of thinking and good responses. I have only these on, others I just go to the discussion my friends started if anybody has anything of interest. I just accept whoever asks to be my friend, so I don't want to be bombarded with emails. I don't expect all my friends to respond to all my discussions. If some discussions interest them, they'll respond. If they don't, that's ok too.
