Do You Save Up A Lot Of Clothes Which You Don't Wear Anymore?

I am cleaning out my wadrobe today and trying to be determined to give away clothes which I don't wear anymore. I am amazed that I have found two big bags of clothes which I don't wear anymore and I decided to give to some charity organizations. And for 2009, I have set a goal for myself that I wouldn't buy any clothes unless I have worn out some *winks*.

It's so nice of you to give clothes that you no longer wear to charity organizations.
Good for you!
I have not been organized enough to give old clothes to charity. But, I think you have the right idea. I will try to follow your good example.
:)
Wow! That's an impressive goal for 2009!!!

*laughs* I just want to get it organized and see into how many other things I actually have. Yes, after I see what I have, I won't buy anything till I worn out some. Don't want to waste money like that *laughs*.

I am constantly amazed at the amount of excess clothes that are in this house. The kids I can understand as they do get new clothes bought for them regularly. My husband however rarely buys gets new clothes but he still seems to have sooo many!
Only last month I gave away 2 big bags of clothes and already I feel like I could do the same again!

Hahaha! Good for you! I have the same problem. I think for clothes that I actually COULD wear, it wouldn't even fill half of a large suitcase. As for my older clothes, I think 5 suitcases won't be enough. I'm just really sentimental that way.. or maybe I'm just a clutter-holic or junkaholic. I really should be getting down to it and do what you're doing. A great resolution for next year, definitely.

I am horrible about saving clothes that I no longer wear. Every time I clean out my closet, I come across many articles of clothing that I haven't worn in ages. However, I just can't make myself get rid of all of them. I just have these thoughts that I might want to wear them someday, and then I will regret getting rid of them. I did just give some clothes that I was certain I would not wear anymore to a friend of mine though.

If I own clothes I don't wear any longer, I usually sell them on eBay and get some money back. This is a nice way to earn a few extra pounds. Alternatively, I would give my clothes to charity shops.

I go through my closet several times a year. I think it is important to get rid of pieces that you don't wear anymore because they are just taking up space in your closet. Once you clean out your closet, you can donate your clothing to charities or try to consign them for extra money.

If I don't want or need something, there is no use in saving it. there are all kinds of great places here in my hometown, where unwanted clothes can be sent to people who don't need them anymore. Why keep things around if we're not going to wear them? A good question. Thanks for asking.

Hello wondericequeen,
It always happen to me as I can easily put on my weight. So, the size of my clothes keep changing. When it happens, I have to look for new clothes. So, I always end up having many clothes that I don't even remember when did I buy them. I feel uncomfortable to give my clothes to strangers and so, I will just give them to my sisters or nieces.
