caffeinated tea? I dont think I've ever had caffeinated tea before. But which I prefer out of coffee or tea really just depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If I am tired I'll more likely drink coffee because of the caffeine, but if there's tea with caffeine that may change. I am much more likely to drink tea if I am real thirsty because tea quenches thirst, while coffee just makes you more thirsty.

Tea contains as much caffeine as coffee (depending on the variety).
You can get de-decaffeinated tea too ... maybe not in your country.

This is a very good discussion because caffeine is a very good thing when it comes to waking up,and getting alert especially if you have to work early in the morning and you are not a morning person, and I am sure there are a lot of people out there who prefer coffee and have to drink it every morning to wake up,for example my mother has to drink several cups of coffee in the morning when she wakes up before she is ready to start her day and get things done, and my father is the same way he can not wake up without his coffee, and then I am sure there are a lot of people who prefer coffee, and drink it everyday, and then I am sure there are probably people who do not drink either, either because they do not like the way they taste or because they try to avoid caffeine because they do not think it is good for them, when it comes to me I drink both coffee and tea,but I think I prefer tea to coffee because I do not drink coffee that often, only every once in a while because coffee does not wake me up like it does some people,I guess because I drink so much caffeine my body is used to it,but when I do drink coffee it has to have a ton of creamer/milk and a lot of sugar before it tastes good, which I learned that from my mother, and lately me and my fiance have been drinking coffee to help try to either keep us awake or wake us up,but I do love tea because it has a really awesome flavor, especially the way my mother makes it,because I think she makes the best tea,I think it is because she fixes it in the coffee pot,so it has added flavor, but once I start drinking her tea I can not stop, and I think anyone and everyone who tastes her tea likes it,and can not get enough of it.

It depends on my mood but I prefer coffee I guess. Tea is nice too, but coffee just keeps me more awake in the morning. I have to have sugar or sweetners in my hot drink or I would dislike both coffee and tea :P

I actually like both. I drink coffee in a wide range of ways and enjoy it very much. On the other hand, I enjoy green and black tea as well as a variety of herbal infusions also considered herbal "tea". Tea is easier to make and I often drink one when there isn't a lot of time on hand. However, coffee can provide a wide range of experiences with hot and cold varieties in a wide range of flavors with a huge variety of additives.

I love coffee. First thing in the morning as soon as I get to work, two cups of strong black coffee, one after the other.
I have been trying to cut down on coffee, from my eight or nine cups to just two. I have been trying to drink more tea. I know it contains caffeine, but I have my tea very very weak, so it just like hot water with a hint of flavour.
I am also developing a taste for green tea, which does not contain caffeine and has all sorts of health benefits.
Great topic, am off to put the kettle on again.

Used to drink lots of coffee during college. I mean lots of it. The more caffeine, the better. Used to drink at least 5 cups straight before taking an exam and drink red bull to finnish it off. When I was done with college, I thought I'd stop with the coffee and drink tea instead to help in lowering my blood pressure. Now, when I drink coffee, I get jittery after one cup. Wasn't what I was expecting. Thought I was immune to caffeine during my college days.
